Weather Policy

Occasionally the weather will require us to cancel or revise workouts.  Below are our policies. WATCH Fleet Feet pages/groups/emails for announcements.

HEAT POLICY

If the actual air temperature is at or over 100, or the heat index is at or over 110, we will CANCEL.

If the actual air temperature is between 95 and 99, or the heat index is between 100 to 109, we will CUT workout in HALF (i.e. distance), SLOW overall pace AND ADD walk breaks as needed.

If the actual air temperature is less than 95, or the heat index is between 95 - 99, it is up to the coach to modify the workout as needed for group safety.

RAIN/Thunderstorm POLICY

We run in the rain.  We cancel if there is lightening in the area.

Cold Weather Policy

If there are unsafe road conditions due to ice, snow, or other hazards, we will cancel the workouts.

For temperature considerations, we will use the Wind Chill Chart from the National Weather Service as our guide.

We will cancel the workout for any temperatures that fall to the right of the lightest blue area on the chart. If temperatures are within the lightest blue area, the workout will proceed as long as road conditions are safe.

However, it is crucial to wear proper layers, face coverings, and gloves to ensure your safety and comfort.

Saturday Only Option

If you plan to attend only on Saturdays (the long run/walk day), the fee is reduced by $30.00 from the standard rate for the Fall or Spring sessions. During registration, you will be asked if you want to sign up for the Saturday-only option. This question is located near the end of the registration process. If you select "YES," your price at checkout (before any fees and taxes) will be reduced by $30.00. Please note that this option is not available for the Summer session.

If you choose the Saturday-only option but would like to drop in for a weekday workout occasionally, you can do so by paying a $5.00 drop-in fee at the store upon arrival.

KingsPointe: You can park anywhere in the parking lot in front or around the store. We ask that you do not park in front of other businesses (Hideaway, Subway, etc), this is so their patrons have a place to park.
Blue Dome: You can park on any of the streets or behind the store. Metered parking is free after 5pm in Downtown Tulsa. Do not park in any Paid Parking Lot unless you pay.

The first night you will run or walk, so make sure to dress accordingly. The Training Program Manager, Coordinator, or coaches will go over what to expect, the pace groups, the schedule, etc. If you are unable to attend a launch night, ask a staff member or coordinator for help determining your pace group.

8. Where do we run or walk?

We run and walk all over Tulsa; mainly on the streets and trails downtown and in the neighborhoods near Fleet Feet KingsPointe and Fleet Feet Broken Arrow. Very rarely will the training programs run or walk on Riverside or La Fortune. Our training programs are too big for the trail to handle our groups. Depending on the program; there will be a map available.

9. Is there water available?

Yes, we put water out at all Fleet Feet stores.
