Holiday Hustle 5K and Kids 1K Reindeer Dash

We're Back! The 3rd Annual Holiday Hustle 5k dashes into town on Saturday, December 12, 2026!

Run, jog, stroll—or shuffle like you’re late to a holiday party—in this festive, chip-timed fun run. For the younger crowd (ages 0-9), we’ve got the Kids 1k Reindeer Dash—antlers optional, but highly recommended.

YES! There are age group awards, but let’s be honest: the real prize is the festive t-shirt and finisher medal you’ll casually wear to every family gathering as proof you’re both athletic and jolly.

Holiday attire is “optional” in the same way fruitcake is “optional” at Christmas—it’s happening whether you like it or not. And yes, there are prizes for the best dressed, so start planning your elf-on-the-runway look now.

This may be the least stressful day of your holiday season, unless of course you get overtaken by a Reindeer in the 1k. Either way, sign up now and secure your spot in the most festive hustle of the year!

GENERAL

• When is the Holiday Hustle 5K and Kids 1K Reindeer Dash?

  • The Holiday Hustle 5k will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 8:00 AM . The Kids 1K Reindeer Dash will begin at 8:45 AM.

REGISTRATION

• How do I register?

• How much is it to register?

  • The registration fee is $30 until November 4th, after which prices increase to $35. Race day registration is $40.

• When does registration end?

  • Registration for the 5k ends at 7:55 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Registration for the Kids 1k Reindeer Dash will end at 8:40 AM

• Are refunds allowed?

  • No, race entries are non-refundable.

PACKET PICKUP

• When and where is packet pickup?

  • Packet pickup will be on the morning of race day, Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 6:30 AM to 7:55 AM at the race start line. Additional pre-race packet pickup dates and times will be announced. 

• What is included in the packet?

  • You will receive your chipped race bib, t-shirt and exciting race swag from our Sponsors. Your finisher medal will be handed to you after the race.

• What is being used as chip timing equipment?

  • The chip attached to your bib will record your start and finish time.

PARKING & RACE MORNING

• What time should I arrive to the race?

  • You can arrive any time between 6:30 AM to 7:55 AM to pick up your packet, stretch, and get ready for the race.

• Where do I park?

  • There will be free parking available at the Trinity Episcopal School parking lots on W San Antonia Street and in the parking lot on the corner of N Moody and W Colorado Street.

• How do I get to the race start?

• What is the race day schedule?

  • 6:30 AM - 7:55 AM: Packet pick-up and race day registration at 1501 N Glass Street

  • 8:00 AM: Holiday Hustle 5K race starts 

  • 8:45 AM: Kids 1K Reindeer Dash race start

  • 9:30 AM: Race finishes

  • 9:30 AM: Awards

• What if there is inclement weather?

  • Every effort will be made to get the run done. If there is light or heavy rain, the run will still go on at 8:00 AM. If there is lightning, the start will be delayed until it is safe to run, so please plan accordingly.

THE COURSE

• What is the course?

  • The 5k and 1k courses will be confirmed shortly. For an official map of the race route, a Garmin course page will be provided.

• Are there cutoff times?

  • There is a 1 hour time limit for the 5k, so all finishers must be across the finish line by 9:00 AM. This is a 19:18/mile pace.

• Will there be water stations on the course?

  • There will be a water station at the half-way point and water will be available before and after the race at the start/finish line.

• Will the course be marked?

  • There will be mile markers at Mile 1 and Mile 2 as well as a lead vehicle.

• Will there be cars on the course?

  • There is a chance that cars will drive by, but there will be volunteers to watch for cars and direct them away from runners. Volunteers will be stationed at each street intersection and orange traffic cones will also be placed on the course to indicate the turns. 

Are strollers and scooters allowed on the on course?

• • Strollers are certainly allowed (start 'em young') but scooters, skates, bikes etc are not allowed. 

FINISH LINE AND POST RACE FESTIVITIES

• Where are the post race festivities being held?

  • The post race festivities are being held at the start/finish line of the race. There will be some snacks and beverages for all to enjoy!

• Is there anything that needs to be returned to the race after crossing the finish line? 

  • No, once you are finished with the race you can either leave or wait for the awards ceremony at 9:30AM.

• Where will results be posted?

  • Results will be posted on the race website https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Victoria/HolidayHustle5kandReindeerDashKids1k

• How quickly will results be posted after I finish?

  • Results will be posted on the race website after the event is over.

• What do I do if I notice my results are off while at the race?

  • If you have questions or think your results are off, please go to the timing table to discuss this with the timing personnel. After age group awards begin, no more race result disputes will be entertained.

• Are there age group awards?

  • There will be an Overall Male and Overall Female award, along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards in the male and female categories for the following age groups:

  • 0-9

  • 10-14

  • 15-19

  • 20-29

  • 30-39

  • 40-49

  • 50-59

  • 60-69

  • 70+

  • Runners may not win both overall awards and age group awards, meaning that the overall male and female winners will not be able to win 1st place in his or her respective age groups.

• When is the award ceremony?

  • The award ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM. All race result disputes and questions must be addressed before 9:20 AM.
