About Houston Party in the Park
Join us on August 8th for the 2026 edition of Houston Party in the Park presented by HARRA!
This is a free community event. All paces welcome!
The event will take place on Saturday, August 8th, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the grass just west of the Tennis Center at Memorial Park. Expect a day filled with fun and enjoyment, including free refreshments such as watermelon, Gatorade, beverages, and live music.
RSVP to help us estimate the refreshments needed for the event. Donations are optional and will be used to fund free events hosted by running clubs collaborating with HARRA. As the umbrella running organization in the Houston area, our goal is to support and highlight running clubs in our community.
Clubs with an active HARRA Partner Club Membership will receive complimentary tent space to showcase their group at the event. Please review the Tent Space Reservation section for details and reservation instructions.

- Clubs with an active HARRA Partner Club Membership will receive complimentary tent space. HARRA Partner Club Membership is $35 per year. To sign up or learn more, click here.
- HARRA does not make a profit from this event. Tent space fees help offset event costs, including Memorial Park fees and other expenses associated with organizing the event.

About HARRA
Established in 1979, the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) is an umbrella running organization in the Houston area. Among its many activities, HARRA works with clubs to coordinate club competitions, race series, educational opportunities, and other events that benefit the Houston running community. HARRA also gives the running community a voice on issues affecting all runners in the Houston area.
HARRA is an affiliate member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), and through the RRCA, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN 74-0041210). All HARRA members are automatically members of the RRCA.
Membership in HARRA is open to all regardless of age or ability. HARRA has approximately 1000 members, ranging in ability from competitive runners who have participated in the US Olympic Trials to those who run or walk for fitness only. HARRA's programs and services are designed for runners of all abilities.
*HARRA uses the term “running” to encompass the broad spectrum of running activities, including competitive running, jogging, fitness walking, race walking, and adaptive chair fitness/racing on roads, trails, and tracks.
