About HRCA St. Patrick's Day 5K
Join the festivities at our St. Patrick's Day 5K starting on Dorchester Street in Highlands Ranch Town Center South at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026! Don your best Irish flair, round up your friends and family, lace up those running shoes, and let the celebration begin! After crossing the finish line, join fellow athletes for a refreshing pint from Living the Dream Brewing, a complimentary pancake breakfast, and lively entertainment.
Keep your eyes peeled -- a kettlebell will be hidden along the course! 🍀 The first person to find the kettlebell and return it to the finish line wins $100!
All participants will receive the following:

- St. Patrick's Day 5K pint glass
- Custom race bib

When and where is Packet Pickup?
- Wednesday, March 12, 3 - 7 PM at Living the Dream Brewing (9150 Commerce Center Cir #300, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129)
- Thursday, March 13, 11 AM - 2 PM at Runners Roost (9994 Commons St #230, Lone Tree, CO 80124)
Athletes will be able to pick up their timing bib and race shirt beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race morning at the race start. Runners should expect lines and pre-race pickup is encouraged.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, strollers are allowed on this course. Out of courtesy and safety for fellow runners, please start in the back of your wave.
Are pets allowed on the course?
Yes, furry friends are allowed and highly encouraged! Out of courtesy and safety for fellow runners, please start in the back of your wave.
I can’t make the race, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, all registrations are final.
What if it rains on race day?
We race rain or shine! We will only cancel the race if conditions make it extremely unsafe for participants.
Can I register on the day of the race?
There will be no onsite registration for this race however registration will remain open online until the day of the race. If you're interested in joining us last minute, please register online and our system will be able to check you in real-time.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes, we act on the honor system here in Highlands Ranch.
Can I wear headphones?
Yes, however, it is strongly discouraged as the safety of all participants is our main priority. If you do decide to wear headphones please keep them at a low volume to ensure you can hear what is going on around you.
Does it cost money to park?
Nope! Free parking is available in the Highlands Ranch town center parking garage or in the surrounding area.
Will there be restrooms on-site?
Yes, restrooms will be available on the west side of the clock tower at Town Center next to Abloom Florist.
Will medical personnel be on-site?
We will have medical services located near the start/finish line. If medical attention is needed seek the medical table near the start/finish line.
What should I do if I can't find my child?
If you happen to have a missing child, please let the DJ/Emcee know and he will make an announcement over the loudspeakers.
Where can I find my race results?
Race results will be live immediately after the 1st racer finishes. Participants can see results online by clicking HERE. Paper results will not be posted on-site.
Will there be an aid station on course?
There will be one aid station on course providing hydration for all runners located at Foothills Park just before mile 2.
Can spectators attend for free?
Absolutely… Bring one or bring all to cheer on your favorite racer! However, pancakes and beer are for participants only.
Can I wear a costume at the race?
Please do! Costumes are encouraged… be on the lookout for our photographer!
Is there a cutoff time for the race?
No, however, most racers are finished within 1:20 minutes. There are plenty of participants who enjoy walking instead!

Race Day Packet Pickup
You will be able to pick up your timing bib and race shirt beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race morning at the race start. Runners should expect lines and pre-race pickup is encouraged.
Course Description
Get your leprechaun legs and lungs ready for this fun and fast 5K course that has a total ascent of 128 ft and a maximum elevation of 5,767 ft. Starting and finishing on Dorchester Street, the course will take you through neighborhoods, along the Marcy Gulch Trail, past Fido's Field at Foothills Park, and back to Town Center South.
Additional Course Details
There will be one aid station available at Foothills Park (just before mile 2) that will have water. The course will be well-marked with mile markers at every mile.
This race course is family and pet-friendly! Please feel free to push your child in a stroller or run with your furry friend. Out of courtesy and safety for fellow runners, please start in the back.
