The 3rd Annual Hub City Half and the inaugural Hub City 5K will take place on Sunday, April 18, 2027, in Hagerstown, Maryland. The race will start and finish at Meritus Park, home of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars.

New for 2027 — the Hub City 5K!
The 5K offers runners and walkers a shorter-distance option while still being part of the full Hub City race-day experience. The race will start and finish at Meritus Park alongside the Half Marathon.
Whether you’re racing for a fast time, running your first 5K, or simply looking for a fun way to be part of race weekend, we’d love to have you join us.

About the Washington County Running Festival
The Hub City Half Marathon & 5K is organized by the Washington County Running Festival.
Our mission is to create inclusive running events that encourage health and wellness, strengthen community connections, and provide opportunities for runners and walkers of all abilities to participate in meaningful local events.
The Hub City Half Marathon is more than a race. Each year, the event also provides an opportunity to give back to organizations serving our community.
Past charitable contributions have included support for local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and Girls on the Run Western Maryland.
Information about the 2027 beneficiary and charitable impact of this year’s event will be announced as race day approaches.

Can I register for both the Half Marathon and the 5K?
No. Because the Half Marathon and 5K take place at the same time, participants may register for only one event.
Can I walk the Half Marathon?
While it's preferred that the half marathon is a running event, if you can finish within the time limit (3 hours and 45 minutes), you can choose your pace.

While it's preferred that the 5K is a running event, if you can finish within the time limit (3 hours and 35 minutes), you can choose your pace.
Are strollers permitted?
Due to changes in terrain, strollers are not allowed in either the half marathon or 5K races.

The Hub City Half Marathon & 5K is planned as a rain-or-shine event. Event organizers may modify, postpone, or cancel event activities if conditions create a safety concern.

Are race shirts guaranteed?
Yes, however, if you register after April 1, you may not be guaranteed your selected size.
Half Marathon
Take on 13.1 miles through Hagerstown at the 3rd Annual Hub City Half Marathon.
The race begins and ends at Meritus Park and features a course designed to showcase Hagerstown and the surrounding community. Runners will finish inside the race-day atmosphere at Meritus Park before celebrating their accomplishment with fellow participants, family, and friends.
