Hudson River Waterfront Walkway 10K Race & 2K Run/Walk

The premier running of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway 10K provides an ideal tune-up for major Fall marathons scheduled the following month.  The course is FAST and FLAT.  Participants in this unique race will run along the scenic Hudson River Walkway with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.  The Start will be in Edgewater, NJ , where parking will be provided, while runners from NYC can take the NY Waterways Ferry from W. 39th St.  The Finish will be in Weehawken and NY Waterways will Ferry all participants back for Award Ceremonies and Festivities in Edgewater.  The Race Course is USATF Certified, and will be officially timed.

New this year .... a 2K Run/Walk has been added on race day!

Free parking will be provided at Edgewater's Veteran's Field.

Runners from NYC can take the NY Waterways Ferry from W. 39th Street in Manhattan--a 15 minute ride, or NJ Transit Bus #158 from the 42nd Street, Port Authority Bus Terminal--a 40 minute ride. (See www.hudsonriverwaterfrontwalkway10krace.org for details)

Instructions for Runners

RUNNERS NEED TO BE AWARE THAT THE COURSE CONSISTS OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT SURFACES SUCH AS CONCRETE, ASPHALT, AND WOOD, NOT ALL SURFACES ARE LEVEL OR SMOOTH COURSE WILL BE OPEN TO PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC, MUST USE CAUTION AND BE AWARE

Runners can obtain their Bib, Pins, and T Shirts at the Edgewater Community Center (located at 1167 River Road). You may pick up these items on the following days and times listed below:

Saturday Oct.4th from 3:30 PM Till 7:00PM

Sunday   Oct.5th from 7:00 AM Till 8:45AM

Water, Bananas, and Energy Bars available at Veterans Field, Porta-John facilities will be located at:

Veterans Field 1167 River Road, east of the stage on the walking track

Edgewater Marina and Ferry Landing, 989 River Road, west side of building.

New York Waterway will transport runners from the end of the race in Weehawken back up to the Edgewater Ferry Landing for Award Ceremonies which will be held in Veterans Field at 11:00AM

Municipal lot: 915 River Road

Municipal lot: 1020 River Road

For Runners from NYC, NY Waterways will provide Ferry service from W. 39th Street Ferry Terminal to the Edgewater Marina—a 15 minute transit time.  The Ferry Terminal is a short walk from the Hudson Yards #7 Subway Station.

The Edgewater Marina can also be reached by NJ Transit Bus # 158 from the Port Authority Bus Terminal—a 40 minute transit time.

From the Finish Line, all participants will be shuttled by Ferry and/or Bus back to Veteran's Field in Edgewater for Awards Ceremonies and Festivities.
