2026 Huntsville Half Marathon

Join us for the 48th Annual Huntsville Half Marathon, sponsored by Fleet Feet Huntsville/Madison and presented by the Huntsville Track Club! The race starts at 8 a.m., Nov. 14, at Hillwood Baptist Church, 300 Kohler Road, Huntsville, AL. This flat and fast course through South Huntsville is perfect for first-time half marathoners, PR attempts, and as training for the Rocket City Marathon.

Aid stations with water, powerade, Gu, bananas and porta-potties will be provided every 2 miles. We're also planning entertainment along the course!

Parking at the church is limited; carpooling is encouraged. Please observe and comply with the directions of the volunteers directing parking, and do not park on private property or in areas that are blocked off.

Weather conditions vary in early November so be prepared for conditions that could be warm and sunny, chilly and windy, or rainy. 

The race has a 3 1/2 hour cutoff, due to city permits. 

A Huntsville Track Club Grand Prix Event

All participants will receive a Huntsville Half Marathon event t-shirt and race bib. All finishers will be presented a medal after crossing the finish line.

Awards will be presented to the: top three overall male and female finishers in the Open division; first place male and female only for the Masters (40+) division; top three male and female finishers in the Age divisions listed below. (Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.)

Age Groups Divisions: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

No awards will be mailed. Results will be available at www.HuntsvilleTrackClub.org.

The course is a relatively flat out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the Hillwood Baptist Church. The first part of the course is a 3.0-mile loop that circles through an adjacent neighborhood and back to the church. The course continues through southeast Huntsville and includes a 2.0-mile section of the Aldridge Creek Greenway.

There is a 3 1/2 hour limit for the race. This is a requirement of Huntsville City and part of our event permit. If a runner is not able to maintain that pace, they will be asked to move to the sidewalk if they attempt to proceed and may be required to quit the race. 

Aid stations with water, powerade, Gu, and bananas will be provided at miles 1, 2, 3.5, 5.5, 7, 9, 10, and 12. Mile splits will be called at various locations throughout the race.

Portable toilets will be located along the course near aid stations.

$45 until Oct. 31 (T-shirts guaranteed); $50 from Oct. 31 to Nov. 11 (T-shirts available as supplies last)

Saturday, Nov. 14:

• 6:30-7:30 a.m. - Late Packet Pickup at Race Site
• 8 a.m. - 1/2 Marathon Start 
• 10:30 a.m. - Awards
• 11:30 a.m. - Course cut-off / course closes due to permits

**If there is inclement weather and the race has to be cancelled, there will be no refunds or transfers.

Races cannot happen without the generosity and support of volunteers. Opportunities are available at multiple days and times, with some as short as one hour. Please consider signing up to volunteer in one or more spots, and encourage your friends and family to volunteer, as well! All volunteers will get awesome race swag (TBD)!

Please make every effort to pick up your packet in advance to save time on race morning. Late packet pickup will be available on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Hillwood Baptist Church.
