Registration opens APRIL 17th! Save $10 for the first week!
Join us for the 5th annual Irvington Vampire Run at the 80th Historic Irvington Halloween Festival! The Irvington Community Council invites you to race or stroll along our 3.1 mile long course through the tree-lined streets of south Irvington. Take in the hauntingly historic sights such as the Kile Oak, Benton House, Bona Thompson Memorial Center, and Irving Circle Park! Be sure to then stick around for the Halloween Festival Street Fair!

Little Bat Dash Kids' Run! Free for kids 12 and under!
A short kids' race around Irving Circle Park. Entry includes commemorative bib and finishers' medal. Adults do not need to register to participate alongside their little bat but will not receive bibs or medals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are strollers/wagons allowed?
Yes, strollers and wagons are allowed. Children riding in a stroller or wagon do not need to be registered for the event. You may register them if you would like them to receive a shirt, bib, and medal. Please be aware that we will be running on some very historic streets, so please be aware of where you and your wheels are going.
How does the student discount work?
A $5 discount is automatically applied for everyone 18 and under during registration. This discount will be reflected as an Age-Based-Pricing adjustment during checkout.
Can I get a discount code for my school/running club/organization?
We offer discount codes to many local groups. If you are a part of a running club, school, charitable organization, or youth club and don't already have a discount code, please have a representative of your organization reach out to us. We offer discount codes to organizations willing to promote us to their members/students through physical flyers, calendar inclusions, and newsletter mentions.
Will there be race day registration?
Online registration will remain open until 15 minutes before each race begins. You are asked to complete registration and payment through RunSignUp on a personal device before checking in at packet pickup. There will be no paper registrations or cash accepted.
Can I verify or edit my registration?
Of course! Log in to RunSignUp, click on the profile icon on the top right corner. and select My Profile. Scroll down and find this event under My Registrations. Click on Manage Registration and you will be able to review and update your registration details. Find out all the details what all you can do here. What are my options if I can no longer attend the event?
Sometimes life happens and plans change, we understand that. While we do not offer refunds, you do have options.
- Transfer to the virtual event - Shoot us a message and we can transfer you to our Virtual event. You can still pick up your SWAG and will be able to submit your time to our Virtual event results for two weeks after the event.
- Gift your registration - You can give your registration spot to another runner. Log in to RunSignUp and navigate to the Manage Registration page for this event. You will provide the name and email of the person you would like to transfer your spot to, then that person will need to register once they receive the email. Full details here.

Registrants of all races including the Little Bat Dash will need to check in at a packet pickup prior to their event. We will have multiple opportunities for you to do so:
Halloween Festival's Wellness Fair
When: Saturday, October 24th, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Where: Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Avenue
Early Packet Pickup
When: Friday, October 25th, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Race day packet pickup
When: Saturday, October 26th, opens 7:30 AM to 9:20 for the 5k, open until 11:25 for the Little Bat Dash

Parking
2025 details:
Street parking is available all around the neighborhood and several local organizations are fundraising by selling spots in their parking lots
- Irvington Preparatory Academy - 5751 E University Ave, .1 miles from race site
- Lots opens at 7 AM, will close from 9:30 to 11:00 am as they are on the first and last stretch of the race course
- $10/car before 9:30 for runners, $20 for anyone parking after 11:00 am, Proceeds benefit the IPA Student Council
- Students will be at packet pickup Friday night pre-selling reserved parking for race morning
- Marine Corps League - Bearss Detachment #089 - 550 S Audubon Rd, .5 miles from race site
- Lot opens at 7:30 AM
- $5/car, proceeds benefit the Detachment
- George W. Julian School #57 - 5435 E Washington St, .5 miles from race site
- Lots opens at 9 AM. Only recommended for those not needing to check-in at packet pickup on race day.
- $20/car, proceeds benefit the school's Parent Teacher Student Association

Dear Irvington Residents and Businesses,
The 79th Annual Irvington Halloween Festival is upon us. The Halloween Festival includes the closing of many Irvington streets to allow for the Street Fair and Vampire Run to take place.
Street closures and traffic restrictions for the Vampire Run will be in effect October 25th, 2025
- Race site area
- South Irving Circle around Irving Circle Park
- Effective October 25, 2025, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
- All non-emergency traffic prohibited on South Irving Circle
- Audubon Road north of Irving Circle Park is subject to additional Street Fair traffic restrictions
- All other roads connecting to South Irving Circle will be restricted at the next intersection but allow traffic to/from the residences on those blocks until 9:30 am
- Race course
- Streets of south Irvington
- South of Washington Street
- West of S Arlington Avenue
- North of the railroad tracks north of Brookville Road
- East of S Butler Avenue/S Hawthorne Avenue
- Effective October 25, 2025, from 9:25 am to 11:00 am
- All non-emergency traffic prohibited in race course area
- Streets will reopen as they are cleared of race participants and materials
