Join us for Jungle Jog 5K on July 19 at Seneca Park! 

Gather your herd and run, walk, or stroll through the only race in Rochester that starts in Seneca Park and navigates through the Seneca Park Zoo, before coming to a wild finish. Enjoy a morning of fun with family, friends, or colleagues that includes a warm-up session, animal ambassador meet & greet, and Kids Fun Run. Then use your race bib for a free day-pass and enjoy a leisurely visit with the animals of Seneca Park Zoo!

Race Day Schedule

• Guided Warm Up at Starting Line - 7:30 a.m.
• 5k begins at 8:00 a.m. in Seneca Park
• Kid's Fun Run begins at 9:00 a.m. in Seneca Park, next to Wegman Lodge
• Awards given at end of race

Location & Parking
Jungle Jog begins and ends in Seneca Park near the Wegman Lodge and Trout Lake. Arrive through the St. Paul street entrance.

Seneca Park parking lots will be open and available. Please note that parking is very limited. We encourage you to arrive early by 7:15 a.m. to give plenty of time to park and walk to the lower park and Starting Line. Premier Parking services will be on-site to help guide participants to available parking spots. The entrance to Seneca Park will close promptly at 7:30am and not re-open until after the last person has completed the race. Participants will need to walk to the starting line located at north end of Seneca Park.

Packet Pick Up
The race-day packet includes your bib number and any giveaways (t-shirt, medal) that are included with your registration. Don't wait until the day of the race to pick up your race materials! Others can get your packet for you, you just need to provide their name and/or registration confirmation. The event registration will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. No Day of Registration.

• Saturday, July 18 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. @Medved Running and Walking - 3400 Monroe Avenue, Rochester NY 14618

Hydrate & Reuse
We continue the commitment to our mission of conserving wildlife and wild places by keeping this a ‘cupless’ race. We are encouraging all participants to bring a full bottle of water with them to use during the race. We will provide a refill station half-way through the 3-mile route and at the finish line. 

Kid's Fun Run!
This is a 100 meter dash and open to children 10 and under. No cost to participate, and each runner will receive a Fun-Run medal. The Kid’s Fun Run will take place after the 5k begins around 9:00 am near the Wegman Lodge field.

Use your race bib for a free day-pass and enjoy a leisurely visit with the animals of Seneca Park Zoo!

As one of Rochester's most established 5K races, this and & walk event attracts over 850 runners each year! Also a Rochester runner of the Year race and the only 5K that charts a course through the Zoo, this race is family-friendly and welcomes participants of all ages to run, walk, stroll, and roll through historic Seneca Park and the Zoo.

Exclusive Jungle Jog water bottle sticker available for purchase that ties together all three animals! Donations of $3 for one or $5 for two. All funds raised go back to our education and conservation programs!

The Kids Fun-Run is welcome to all kids 10 and under! No cost to participate, and each runner will receive a Fun-Run medal. 

The Fun-Run will take place after the 5k at 9:45 or after the last runner/walker completes the race. Please note: the road will close at 7:30am, any Fun-Run participants need to be in the park by that time, we do not allow late entry.
