Event Policies
Refunds
All New Orleans Track Club race registration fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable under all circumstances, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the event or of your participation, or change in the date, nature, or format of the event. An event may be canceled or changed due to severe weather or other factors that threaten the safety of participants, staff, or volunteers. Race bibs cannot be transferred to another participant.
Headphones
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the New Orleans Track Club encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of this race.
Bathrooms
At our races, NOTC will supply single-occupancy (unisex) facilities; or use of multiple-occupant, restroom facilities with lockable single occupant stalls.
Strollers
The New Orleans Track Club strongly recommends against the participation of baby strollers/joggers in road races. The reason for this recommendation is that the inclusion of strollers in races increases the potential for injury to race participants and children. The NOTC has no objection to and does not discourage the safe and prudent use of strollers or baby joggers in individual training situations. Stroller, baby joggers, or similar devices are allowed but should be started in the back of the runners and walkers.
Dogs
Dogs should not be brought to this event for the safety of all participants and volunteers.
New Orleans Track Club
The New Orleans Track Club is a membership organization composed of and administered by runners and walkers. The mission of the NOTC is to produce and promote running events both as a competitive sport and as one of the best athletic activities for achieving physical and mental fitness. Membership is open to all, fast, slow, and in-between, who share our passion for the sport.
The NOTC was founded in 1963 with the purpose to promote running in the New Orleans metro area. Since that time the Club has grown to over 2000 members including runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. The NOTC is a member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) and USA Track and Field Association (USATF).
The NOTC is a non-profit organization. Officers and members of the Board of Directors are elected annually. Most of the work is performed by club volunteers. In this way we maintain nominal entry fees to cover costs at races. Each year the NOTC contributes thousands of dollars to charitable organizations. In addition, the NOTC supports local lower, middle, and high school cross country programs.
