About Kessler Mountain Jam

Kessler Mountain Jam is an AMBCS (Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series) mountain bike race contested on the trails of Kessler Mountain in south Fayetteville, AR.  This is a USA Cycling sanctioned race and there are categories for all ages and levels.  See following link for license requirements for each level of racer - https://www.kesslermountainjam.com/Race/KesslerMountainJam/Page-3.

About

Kessler Mountain Jam is an All Sports Productions' promoted event. We are a sports event management company which promotes cycling, running, duathlons, triathlons, adventure runs and other outdoor events. The goal of the company is to produce races at the highest standards, which are locally, regionally and nationally recognized events with a festival-like atmosphere. The mission of each event is to engage participants and spectators in a healthy, multi-sport lifestyle.

Can I register onsite? You may register onsite ONLY on the day before the race - see packet pickup for details.

Do I need a USA Cycling License?  Depends on the category.

  • Expert and Intermediate (formerly Cat 1 and Cat 2) - an annual USA Cycling license is required to race.  One-day license is not allowed in either category.  USAC is offering a discounted license for new annual license holders.  Go to https://usacycling.org/member and purchase an annual license.  

  • First Time members will pay $40 for their Membership ($20 if enrolling in auto-renew)
    Add a Race License for $0 (FREE!)--Valid for 1st time Members only

  • Junior - purchase Membership for $40 ($20 if enrolling in auto-renew)
    Add a Race License for $0 (FREE!)—Valid for all domestic race license for members under 18 years old.

  • Novice (Cat 3), Single Speed, E-bike and Clydesdale - for anyone who does not hold an annual USA Cycling license, a $15 one-day license fee is required to participate. One-day licenses are purchased when registering on BikeReg

  • Citizen (1st timer) - entry fees include the one-day license fees.

Where do I park? There are plenty of parking lots at the park located next to the start/finish line area.

I am unable to participate due to injury / work / illness can I get a refund? Please refer to our refund policy.

What is the weather policy? We will race rain or shine.  We carefully monitor the weather, All Sports Productions in coordination with both local emergency personnel and race officials will make decisions based on safety first.

Will there be an aid station? Yes, there will be one water station on the course and a finish line water station

What will be at the aid station?  Water and electrolytes

Can I purchase a meal ticket for my friends and/or family?  YES!  We would love to feed your friends and family!  Your race entry includes a post event meal, then you may choose to purchase extra meal tickets as part of the registration process.  A single ticket is $10, families of 3 or more is $30.

    • Start/Finish line 6:30 am until 30 minutes before each group start time.  Look for signs.

Pre Ride:

  • June 27  from 2 - 5 pm.  Come out, pick up your packet (or register and get in a pre-ride!)

Race Rules

  • Leave No Trace.
  • All riders must display bike plate on front of handle bars
  • At no time may a rider ride in or on a vehicle of any kind. Violators will be disqualified.
  • If you get off the official course, you must return to the point at which you left the prescribed race route.
  • Medical personnel, the race director, and designated staff have the right to pull a rider if they feel they are a danger to himself/herself.
  • If you have to drop from the race, make sure that a race official is notified. Failure to do this could result in search and rescue, which could be at rider expense.
  • Absolutely No Littering...

Refund Policy

We do not process refunds, however..

  • Participants who are unable to race will be allowed to rollover their entry to the following year or apply it to another All Sports Production's owned event in the current year.
  • Participants must contact the Race Director before the race to be eligible for a rollover.
  • Only the entry can be rolled over. Race merchandise can be picked up if applicable.
  • If the event is cancelled, rollovers do not apply and ALL participants will be transferred to the reschedule date of the event.
  • All Sports Productions in coordination with both local emergency personnel and race officials will make decisions based on safety first. Courses and/or race segments may be altered as agreed to between All Sports Productions and race officials.
  • If the event must be cancelled, then a participants' registration will be transferred to the rescheduled event only.  The rescheduled date may not be until the following year's regularly scheduled date.  The transfer is only good for the rescheduled event regardless if the athlete is able to attend.
