The Ultimate Swedish Festival is held on the 3rd week in May, and we invite you to Run/Walk, Experience, and Taste the rich culture of Sweden in Kingsburg.

This is an awesome race route along the city streets of Kingsburg. Race starts and finishes downtown (right in the middle of the Swedish Festival) in front of the fire station. This race has a tradition of being one of the best 10K & 2 Mile Races in the Valley. The Dala Horse Trot benefits the Kingsburg Community Education Foundation.

For four decades, the Kingsburg Dala Horse Trot has been a cornerstone of our city’s beloved Swedish Festival. Each year, between 700 and 900 runners from across California gather to participate in our 10k run, 2-mile run, and 2-mile walk.

This year, the Kingsburg Community Education Foundation, in conjunction with the Kingsburg Elementary Charter District, is honored to accept the baton from the Kingsburg Rotary to host this historic event. Here are the 2 Mile and 10K Routes. They start and finish in front of the Kingsburg Fire Department.

Please attend our Race Packet Pick Up and avoid any race day delays. We will have it on Friday (May 15th) at:

Kingsburg Downtown Park, Next to the Fire Station (1460 Marion Street) 

Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm 

You can also pick-up your packet on race morning starting at 6:00am.

Make sure to Sign-Up before May 3rd to guarantee you get your race shirt and in the size you request. After this date, we can not guarantee your shirt.

The ultimate Scandinavian Vacation the third weekend in May invites all who dare to experience and taste the rich culture of Sweden in Kingsburg. This event is filled with entertainment, food and fun. It all begins on Friday night with a Swedish Smorgasbord. Start your Saturday morning with a traditional Svenska Pancake Breakfast. The Swedish Village is filled with specialty shops, there you can also see more of the Swedish Culture in the Swedish Cultural Village on Draper Street and discover many food, craft booths and entertainment.
