Labor Day 5K/10K/15K

Celebrate the spirit of hard work and hometown heroes at the Labor Day 5K/10K/15K — a race dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who serve as our First Responders.

We will gather in Kennesaw, GA for this meaningful Labor Day event which recognizes firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and medical professionals who protect and serve our communities every day. Whether you’re running in support of a loved one, racing alongside a local hero, or participating as a First Responder yourself, this event is about gratitude, strength, and unity.

Participants may choose from three distances — 5K, 10K, or 15K — making it accessible for runners and walkers of all levels. All First Responders receive a free race entry as a small token of appreciation for their service. Valid ID must be presented at bib pickup to confirm eligibility.

All athletes who cross the finish line will earn a custom finisher medal, and awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance in the standard five-year age groups, beginning with 10 & Under.

This Labor Day, don’t just take the day off — lace up, show up, and run with purpose as we honor those who answer the call when it matters most.

We always do packet pickup on race morning starting one hour prior to the start of the race.  If we have an early pickup available, it will be added here.

Running is more F-U-N together, even if we're far apart!

All 3 courses, Start and Finish, in the Parking Lot of AMC Theatres in Kennesaw. The routes are fairly flat & fast and are an out and back.  We'll be timing everyone for the start & finish.

Water Stations

We will have Self-Serve water stations approximately every 1.5 miles. If you are wanting to run fast and not stop, you might want to bring your own personal hydration.

Pacing

Participants will need to finish with at least a 16 min/mile pace.

Awesome shirt to commemorate your race!  Shirt sizes guaranteed with registrations until 8/23.  Afterwards, they'll be available while supplies last.

Awards in both races as follows:

• Top 3 Overall Male & Female 
• Top 3 Overall Masters (40+) 
• Top 3 Overall Grand Master (50+) 
• Top 3 Overall Senior Master (60+)
• Top 3 in each age group (10 & under - 75+)

All participants will receive an awesome Finisher Medal!

Still want to participate or support the cause and have a shot at an award? Or, maybe you saw the shirt and said:  "Sweet...I want one!"  Then the virtual race is for you.  Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day.  We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.

You can submit your race time on the Virtual Results page anytime anytime until race day 11:59 PM.

Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds and will be disqualified.

All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.

Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.

Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.

No COVID-19 Refunds.  If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided.  The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.

All participants will automatically qualify for (1) FREE entry into one of the 2025 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots.  See event website.
 

Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the Championships held in January of 2026. The number of spots available is based on the total registration.  See event website
