Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon, 5K & 10K

Join us on Memorial Day to celebrate all of the great Americans and their families and supporters who have earned the right to be honored and cherished on Memorial Day each year.  The event will have three timed-races on May 26, 2025. The Half Marathon is on a picturesque and challenging course that showcases the beauty of Laguna Hills and the surrounding cities.   The 5k and 10k runs will tour the streets of Laguna Hills, and offers a distance and challenge for runners of all ages and abilities.  Children can be a part of the event by registering for the Kids Run.

Diaper Dash - The Diaper Dash is the final wave and is for children 3 and under. This course is 100 yards and finishes on the baseball field. Parents may accompany children on the Diaper Dash course but will not receive a medal.

How the program works:
Signup for the Half Marathon or 10k then we will generate you a unique referral link via your confirmation email. Save that link and email it out or share it on social media to your running buddies. (*Friends must register with your unique link at time of their registration or their registration will not count as an official referral for you)  

- If you refer three (3) people to register for the Half Marathon with your referral link, you will receive a $20 refund. If you refer three (3) people to register for the 10k, you'll receive a $15 refund.

- If you refer five (5) people to register for the Half Marathon, you will receive a $50 refund. If you refer five (5) people to register for the 10k, you will receive a $40 refund. 
 
(*The total amount that you're eligible to receive in a refund will not exceed your registration fee)
 
Program Restrictions Apply:
* The maximum refund can be no greater than the cost of the original entry fee. Coupons and discounts will affect this total. 
* Friends must register with your link at the time of their registration in order for you to receive credit for the referral.
* Eligible referrals registrations are when your friends/family register through your referral link for the Half Marathon and 10k. 
* Referral refunds will be awarded only once you have reached three (3) and five (5) referrals.
* Refund only applies to the registration fee portion of the entry, not the transaction or additional purchase fees tied to the registration.

2025 THE CITY OF LAGUNA HILLS MEMORIAL DAY HALF MARATHON, 5K & 10K 

ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION:
Monday, May 26, 2025 – The race starts at the Laguna Hills Mall on Calle de la Louisa. The streets surrounding the mall and the Saddleback Memorial 
Medical Center are all closed (Calle de la Louisa, Health Center Drive, Calle de los Caballeros, the mall road, and Paseo de la Valencia) from 5:00 am to 
8:30 am. Both the ½ Marathon, 5K & 10K finish at the Laguna Hills Community Center on Alicia Parkway.

GENERAL RACE DIRECTION:
Race heads southwest on Paseo de Valencia to Alicia Parkway and proceeds south on Alicia Parkway in the slow lane to Pacific Park. Runners take Pacific Park to Woodfield Park baseball fields then onto Aliso Bike Trail, which enters Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. After an “out-and-back” runners return to Laguna Hills Community Center using Aliso Creek Riding & Hiking Trail.

6:55 AM Memorial Day Tribute – Start Line 
7:00 AM 5K &10K/Run/Walk & Half Marathon 
9:30 AM Kids ½ Mile Races
7:30 AM to 12 noon - Community Expo & Live Entertainment at LHCC
