About Lake Nona Tri-Nona Triathlon Series Race 1
Join us for the 2nd Annual Lake Nona Triathlon! This year there are two Lake Nona Tri Events, the first one taking place on July 25-26, 2026, and the second event taking place on August 22-23, 2026.
This Sprint Triathlon is a thrilling point-to-point race, starting at the Lake Nona Adventure Park, where the action begins with a lake swim. The bike route will take participants through the heart of Lake Nona, offering breathtaking views and a blend of urban and natural scenery, as they descend on their next transition area at Boxi Park. The atmosphere at Boxi Park will be electric, with friends, family, and fans eagerly awaiting the athletes' arrival. Here, participants transition from biking to the final challenge the 5K run.
Post-race festivities at Boxi Park include free beer for all participants and access to the Park's food containers. The entertainment lineup ensures a festive atmosphere, with music, games, and activities for all ages, making it a perfect day out for families and friends!
Participant benefits include a custom shirt and a finisher's medal. Awards will be given to the top three Overall Males & Females, Male & Female Masters, and top three males & females in 5-year increments.
Youth "Splash & Dash"
Open to youth ages 6-14 years old. The Splash & Dash will be on Saturday, July 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Nona Adventure Park. The Splash & Dash race will begin at the Aqua Park inflatable obstacle course. Participants will traverse the state-of-the-art inflatable obstacle course that features over 1000 feet of challenging and exciting obstacles! Once they exit the inflatable course, participants will head out for their run.
Run distance varies by age:
Ages 6-10 will run .5 mile
Ages 11-14 will run 1 mile
Participant benefits include a shirt and a finisher medal. Awards will be given to the top three males & females in 1-year age group increments.

Saturday, July 25, 2026- 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Nona Adventure Park (T1)
Sunday, July 26, 2026- 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM at Boxi Park (T2)
FAQ
This race is a point-to-point triathlon, which means you will have two separate transition areas.
If you are in the Triathlon, you will start your swim at the Adventure Park, then Bike to Boxi Park to start your run.
If you are in the Duathlon, you will need to plan for two transition areas and figure out a plan for your running shoes if you clip in on the bike.
Where does the race start and finish?

The race starts at the Nona Adventure Park. T1 will be located at Heroes Park next to the Adventure Park.

No, it is not mandatory. However, it is highly recommended due to the point-to-point nature of the event. Overnight security will be provided for T1
Where is the parking?

Parking is available at the parking garage at Boxi Park. Limited parking will be available at T1.
Are shuttles available? What times do the shuttles run?

Yes, a shuttle will be available on race morning starting at 5:45 AM. The shuttle will take participants to T1 from Boxi Park.
Are there gear bags?

Yes, you will be provided 1 gear bag for T1.
What is the race day procedure for picking up my packet and dropping my bike at T1?
If you are unable to drop off your bike on Saturday, you have a few options:

Park at Boxi Park. Pick up your packet and gear bags. Drop your run gear bag at T2. Ride your bike 1.4 miles to T1. Drop your bike gear bag at T1. Don't forget your swim goggles. Get ready to race!

Pick up your packet at Boxi Park, drive to T1, and drop off your gear and bike. Return to Boxi Park to park drop off your T2 gear and catch the shuttle to T1. Get ready to race!
