Course
Start Derby Day with a few furlongs of your own! Our annual race has a new location and a new format this year! Join us at the Fairgrounds in Corydon for a morning of races on and off the horse track. Options include elite mile races (with prize money!), a community mile race, youth races, and a community 5k. We're excited about the 5k course, which is a loop from the Fairgrounds, taking in Indian Creek Trail and historic downtown Corydon. It will include one big hill, a bit of gravel, a beautiful creekside trail, and some road running past the first state capitol back to the finish.
Awards – Top three in the men's and women's elite mile races will receive $100/$50/$25. Age group winners in other races receive an engraved "julep" glass and a Derby Day rose.
Fees – Varies by race, with discounts for multiple events. T-shirt optional if registered by April 12th. Children 10 and under may participate in the 5k at no charge if accompanied by a responsible, paying participant. Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Friday, May 1st. Race day registration is available for an extra $5 per race.
