Leading Edge Take Heart 10K/5K

The eighth annual 5K and inaugural 10k  is being presented by Leading Edge to benefit Take Heart. Take Heart will use the funds raised by this event to create opportunities for orphans and widows in Kenya to overcome poverty through education and entrepreneurship. 

When and where is the race?
📅 Date: Saturday, September 12th
⏰ Start Time: 10K – 7:00 AM | 5K – 8:30 AM
📍 Start Line: In front of Texas Cattle Company, Downtown Lakeland
🏁 Finish Line: Lake Mirror Promenade

Where should I park?
All parking will be near the Lake Mirror Promenade:
📍 121 S Lake Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801
You may park in any city garage or open lot in the area.

How do I pick up my race packet?
You have two options:

Option 1 – Early Packet Pick-Up at Fleet Feet
📍 1523 Town Center Dr, Lakeland, FL 33803
🗓 September 11 (Friday)
⏰ 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Includes your bib (with a QR code to learn about the person you’re running for), race shirt, and any pre-purchased items.

Option 2 – Race Day Pick-Up
📍 Lake Mirror Promenade, near the start/finish area
⏰ 6:00 AM on race day until the 5K Start

Notes:

You can pick up for a friend with their permission.
No shirt exchanges during packet pick-up. Exchanges may be available after the race if extras remain.

Timed runners: front of start line
Timed walkers: behind runners
Non-timed participants: after timed groups
5K Start – 8:30 AM
