About Little Red Heart 5K
The Little Red Heart 5K & Walk is a special way to honor those who gave the gift of life, pay tribute to those who received a lifesaving or life enhancing transplant, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting for the gift of life. With funds raised from this event, our Foundation can support the activities and initiatives of LifeShare to help save more lives through organ and tissue donation.

FAQ's

REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP
How do I register? You may register either online by clicking here or at the race site on race day.
Can I register at packet pick-up? Yes
Can I pick up a packet for a team, friend, or family member? Yes
Where do we pick up our packets? Team captains and individual registrants can pick up their packets from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026 at LifeShare Headquarters, 4705 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Packets can also be picked it up the morning of the race at the registration table from 7:00 - 8:15 a.m for 5K and 7:00 - 9:15 a.m. for 1 mile walk. We strongly suggest picking up your packet the day before.
How can I check to ensure that I am registered? You will receive an email confirmation within minutes of completing your online registration transaction. You may also call our office at 405-840-5551.
Am I guaranteed a race shirt? All pre-registered participants signed up by August 27 are guaranteed the race shirt size they requested using the registration process. Late sign-ups are not guaranteed the shirt size of their choice, shirts will be given on a first-come first-serve basis. We will do our best to get everyone the shirt size they want.
What type of shirt will I receive? A soft-style t-shirt.
How can I get a race shirt if I do not want to run or walk? You may register for a social ticket. The social ticket allows you a race day t shirt and access to the event.
What will I receive at packet pick-up? You will receive your race shirt, race number, and timing tag, along with special gifts and coupons from our sponsors.
What type of timing is being used? Oklahoma Race Company will be timing the event. Your timing chip will be on the back of your racing number bib. Participants must wear their number on the FRONT of their outermost garment.
What happens if I register and then I am unable to participate? The Little Red Heart run has a no refund policy. All entries are considered final.

RACE DAY QUESTIONS
Where is the event located? Stars and Stripes Park • 3701 S. Lake Hefner Drive • Oklahoma City, OK 73120
What time does the race start? Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., the 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 1 Mile Memorial Walk will start at 10:00 a.m.
What is the weather typically like on race day? Famous Oklahoman, Will Rogers, said that if you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, wait five minutes! It could be cool and damp, it could be warm and dry.
What if it is raining on race morning? The race will happen rain or shine! No refunds.
When should I arrive? Most participants will arrive one hour before the race start time. If you have not picked up your packet, please arrive at least one hour before the race starts and go to the Packet Pick-Up area.
Where do I park? Parking is available all around Stars and Stripes Park! Please no parking on the grass.
Are baby joggers/strollers allowed in the race? Yes
Are walkers allowed to participate? Yes
Are runners allowed to run with dogs? Dogs are NOT allowed on the course as it is a USATF certified course
Is there a minimum age or skill level to participate? The Little Red Heart run is a family-oriented event and we encourage people of all ages and skill levels to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian sign a waiver on their behalf if they will be participating in the walk and/or the race.
I registered as an individual, but can I still join a team? Yes, please contact us at 5K@lifeshareok.org or 405-840-5551 and we can assist you in updating your status.

FUNDRAISING QUESTIONS
How do I begin fundraising? There are many fun and easy ways to fundraise. The best way is to personalize your fundraising page online here with your story and pictures and send the link out to family and friends. Be sure to include why this cause is so important to you. To whom should I make checks payable? All checks should be payable to LifeShare Foundation.
Are contributions tax-deductible? All contributions to the LifeShare Foundation are tax-deductible. However, per IRS codes registration fees are not tax-deductible because they cover the fair market value of the event.
What is the LifeShare Foundation’s EIN number? 82-1003338.
What are matching gifts and how will they help me reach my fundraising goal? Some companies offer their staff members a chance to match gifts that their employees make to certain charities. Matching gifts programs vary from company to company. Be sure to contact your Human Resources department to find out if your company offers a Matching Gifts program, how the program in your company works, and to obtain the proper forms needed to submit in order for your matching gift to be counted towards your final individual fundraising goal.

HOST A FUNDRAISING AND AWARENESS EVENT
Many team captains and event participants coordinate fundraising and awareness events to benefit their team. We will assist you when possible, as schedules and timing permit, by providing materials, and answering any questions you may have. GET READY FOR EVENT DAY
Let your team know prior to event day where to meet if you’re joining together in person. Remember to show your team spirit, take lots of pictures and share with us on social media.
FUNDRAISING CHECKLIST

☐ I have set a team goal and have informed all my team members of our fundraising goal.
☐ I have asked my company or organization to make a donation to our team.
☐ I have asked my team members and donors if their companies have a matching gift program. If so, I have encouraged them to ask their coworkers to donate to them and request matching funds.
