The 42nd Annual Manasquan Turkey Trot. Good times guaranteed again in Manasquan on November 22, 2025 at 11 AM. Last couple of live races were a great success and this year promises to be the best Turkey Run so far. Same route, same pubs, same Little League playing field - but a Whole lot more Fun!

 Registration opened on September 1st and the limit of runners has been reached.

 

Online Transfers are allowed until Nov 19, after that all transfers must be done in person at bib pickup. Ends 10:45am Raceday Saturday

You are not allowed to run with another's person's bib or give your bib to another person, both our Medical teams and Homeland Security require accurate information on each participant in the events.  

 

One Mile start at 10 am

Five Mile start at 11 am    NO Strollers allowed in Five Mile.

MANASQUAN TURKEY TROT - Information you need to know!  42nd Annual

Thanks for being a part of the Manasquan Turkey Trot. Enjoy & Thanks for the Support!

All Registration is closed, No Registration race week or race day.

Pre-Race Pickup Schedule - Bib (numbers) & T-Shirts can be picked up before the race. You (or a friend or family member) can pick up the bib. Avoid a rush & pick up your stuff before race day. All bibs are to be picked up (they won't be mailed)!  NEW for 2025 Express lane for single pickups.

Thursday Night, Nov 20 and Friday Night, Nov 21, 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Leggett's Sand Bar, 217 First Avenue, Manasquan

Race Day Event Schedule:

9:00 AM – Pickup location: 69 Second Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736. T-shirts must be picked up by 12:30pm Race Day, after which shirts will be given to Volunteers. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO MAILINGS, NO REGISTRATION on raceday.
10 AM - Start of One Mile Fun Run - on 1st Ave north of Ocean Avenue (near house # 61 Ocean Avenue).
11 AM - Start of 5 Mile - On 1st Ave, south of E. Main Street. Please be at starting area at 15 minutes before start. Line up in accordance with your speed – Swiftest runners at the front.

Transfers – If unable to run, you may transfer to a new runner online from your confirmation email

Recognition and Finish - Medals only to finishers age 12 and under in One Mile only. Awards to top 20 Male & Female finishers in Five Mile race. Parking – Street Parking will available in the surrounding streets except for 2nd Ave. Extra parking at three lots - 3rd Ave just north of Main St.;  4th Ave just South of Main St. &  3rd & Pompano Avenue.

Restrooms – Port-O-Johns are located in the Park. You may also use facilities at Leggett’s & Main Beach Pavilion.

Water - It is important for runners to drink plenty of water prior to, during and after the race. Water is available before & after the race in parking lot of the Little League field. Water is available during the race on the course.

Safety - For the safety and enjoyment of all Turkey runners the course is restricted to registered runners & race personnel. Dogs, skateboards, any skates, bicycles & baby joggers/strollers are prohibited. We ask that you don't use radio/recorder head phones or earbuds, and any headphones and earbuds must be removed before crossing the finish line chute. First Aid will be on site. Your safety is our first concern- please run safely & run smart. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded or you are seeing optical illusions (Like a Turkey) - STOP. Look for a volunteer or an official! Note: Time Limit for the 5 Mile is 90 minutes. IMPORTANT: for safety, only the registered runner will be permitted to cross the finish line - do not have children or other family members jump in to finish with you.

Important: Bibs must be worn on front on race day.

Post Race – Complimentary refreshments for all registrants are available at the ball field. Please be considerate of the other runners; take only one item per runner. Strollers

Our insurance company has recommended the policy below

Safety - For the safety and enjoyment of all runners, the course is restricted to registered runners, wheelchair division athletes and official race personal. Dogs, skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates, bicycles, and baby joggers/strollers are prohibited.

 

Headphones

We also strongly discourage the use of headphones or ear buds. You need to be able to hear directions from course officials and in the case of an emergency you need to be able to hear First Aid and Police and Homeland Security announcements. If you choose to run with them you will be asked to remove before the finish line.

 

Can I walk the five

Yes - many people do walk this event.

Course limit is 90 minutes, after which they open roads to traffic and finish line is taken down.

If you do not think you can make the 90 minute limit consider walking the One Mile event.

 

Five Mile or One Mile

You can participate in the Five Mile or One mile Event or Both. Same Bib number is used.

Finish Medals will be given in the one mile only to participants 12 years or younger. (No medals in Five mile)

 

Registration Deadline

Registration will close when Registration limit is reached. (In 2025 race closed September 30th)

Changes to your Registration Info

There should be a link in your RunSignUp confirmation email "Manage Registration"  for each registrant that allows you to go back in and make corrections including t shirt changes until Nov. 15th

Make sure to also hit   Confirm    button to save the changes.

Shirt Exchanges 

After Nov. 15th   Shirt size exchanges race day only after finish.

Refunds or Deferrals 

Sorry, there are no refunds or deferrals for the Manasquan Turkey Run.

You can still pickup your t-shirt on Thursday or Friday night at Leggett's Sand Bar from 5:30 to 7:30pm Or Transfer your bib on Thursday or Friday night if you find someone to run in your place.

 

Do you have a waiting list?
 Once the limit of general registration entries is reached, the race will be closed for registration.

Sorry - NO -  we do not keep a transfer listing or waiting list, just about everyone who wants to transfer knows someone who wants to get in.

 

Transfers 

We have turned on the   Participant Transfer    option on RunSignup which will allow them to give/transfer their registration to another person.

Click on the "Manage Registration" link in your confirmation email and select "Transfer to Another Runner".

The Transfer to Another Runner option can also be found by logging on to RunSignup, navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Runner.

No refund is issued, and the new person will need to pay an additional $10.00 transfer fee to the race.

Online deadline for transfers to be complete is Nov 19th    After that they will need to do in person raceweek. Email us at manasquanturkeyrun@gmail.com

 

Bibs held for pickup only

All bibs are held for pickup, there are no mailings, please check the Runners Info sheet on the website.

Yes, you may pick up the bib and t-shirt for other people.

Express Lane for Single Pickup. All other lines will be for multiple pickups for different names.

Please bring proof of registration:  CONFIRMATION PRINT OUT -or- EMAIL ON PHONE

 

THERE IS NO BAG CHECK.  Allow time to return to your car.

Manasquan Turkey Run

The tradition of Manasquan continues the Saturday before Thanksgiving with The Manasquan Turkey Run.
