Mattapoisett Santa Stampede

The Mattapoisett Santa Stampede 5K for MS will host hundreds of “Santas” wearing complimentary 5 piece Santa suits, from the red coat and hat, right down to the beard! In a 3.1 mile loop around scenic Ned's Point Lighthouse and along the picturesque harbor of Mattapoisett. This festive run/walk is sure to bring out the holiday spirit for all participants and spectators. The event will take place at 9:00am on Saturday December 5th, beginning and ending at the Mattapoisett Town Wharf. Proceeds will be donated to support Multiple Sclerosis foundations for research and support of individuals living with MS. This year’s race date will mark the 2 year anniversary of our race director being diagnosed with MS.

There are two options for Santa Suit sizing.

Option 1:    Adult (one size fits all) 

Option 2:    Youth (Suggested for children 12 and under and less than 5 feet tall)

These will be provided to the first 500 adult (one size fits all) registrations, and the first 200 youth (suggested for under 5 feet) registrations. It is important you select the proper Santa suit option size at checkout! This cannot be changed once you have registered.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female adult finishers along with the top 3 male and female youth finishers.

Race Bibs and Santa Suit pick up will be on Wednesday, December 2nd from 5:00-7:00pm in Mattapoisett. An email will be sent out one week before the race with an exact location and details. Items can also be picked up on the morning of the race at the Mattapoisett Town Wharf starting line area between 8:00am-8:45am. Please prepare to get your items before 8:45am as most of our race volunteers also plan to participate.

The course will begin and end at the Mattapoisett Town Wharf. Runner/Walkers will head out to Ned's Point following the red line on the course map, and return using the blue line on the map.

There are several parking options for the race outlined below with a yellow star. The green star on the map represents the start/finish line. All parking lots are within easy walking distance to the start of the race. There is also parking available on some side streets in the area.
