Miggy's Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament

We are excited to announce the second annual Miggy's Paddle Battle, a fun-filled, family-friendly pickleball doubles tournament, men's, women's and mixed divisions, that will bring together players of all skill levels, to support a cause close to our hearts: Skin Cancer Prevention.

This special event will take place on February 28, 2026, and promises to be a day full of friendly competition, community spirit, and most important, hope.  Whether you're picking up a paddle for the first time or you're a seasoned pickleball pro, there's a place for you at Miggy's Paddle Battle.  All proceeds will go directly to Miggy's Gift, where we work tirelessly to bring hope, encouragement, and support to families battling cancer.

It's a day to show up, have fun, and help us raise crucial funds that will go toward our Mighty Miggy Project, Educational and Awareness Program, and Miami Dade College School Grants.

Mark your calendars, gather your team, and get ready for a day of pickleball, fun, and giving back.  Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of young cancer patients and their families.

Our Mission Statement:

At Miggy's Gift we aim to save lives by educating children and young adults on sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and the importance of early detection.  We visit colleges, schools, after school programs, summer camps, and health fairs with Dermatology health professionals, who share an age appropriate power point presentation  with  the kids.  Through this initiative we donate shirts with UPF protection, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, sunscreen dispensers, sunglasses, and lip balm.

We provide financial and emotional support to families with a child or young adult going through cancer. This includes granting wishes, donating custom gift baskets for patients, donating gift cards to help the family with expenses,  visit oncology pediatric units in local hospitals with an arts and craft party or magic shows.

In 2018 we established the Stephen "Miggy" Chavez Scholarship at Miami Dade College for students attending the MDC Miami Animation Gaming International Complex (MAGIC).  To date, we have granted 13 scholarships totaling over $33,000 in scholarship funds.

Your generous and kind donations will allow us to fulfill our commitment and help expand our programs. Miggy's Gift is a 501 (c) (3) and all donations are tax deductible. Please remember no donation is too small.
