Mind Over Matter Triathlon

This USA Triathlon sanctioned triathlon at Coconut Cove RV Resort in southwest Wisconsin is a fundraiser for brain cancer research in honor of the late Dennis Dietzel. Funds raised will be donated directly to glioblastoma (GBM) research at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. There will be a youth race at 12 pm on Saturday followed by sprint and olympic distance adult races on Sunday. This early summer event is perfect for first-timers as well as competitive triathletes. The race starts with a calm, clean lake swim in the lake at Coconut Cove RV Resort. Riders will then be challenged with a hilly bike on quiet and beautiful country roads in Grant County. The run is rolling, and finishes on a path around the lake with an optional slip n slide at the finish line! All finishers will receive finish line food/drinks, a water bottle and finisher medal. There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 finishers in each division.

Ages 6-9: ~50 yd pool swim (3 pool lengths), ~0.8 mile bike (3 loops), ~0.3 mile run (1 loop)

Ages 10-12: ~100 yd pool swim (5 pool lengths), ~1.6 miles bike (6 loops), ~0.6 mile run (2 loops)

Ages 13-15: ~150 yd pool swim (9 pool lengths), ~2.4 miles bike (9 loops), ~0.9 mile run (3 loops)

*the bike and run courses utilize the same exact loop
