About Mom Day 5K, 10K + Kiddo Dash
Please join us in supporting maternal mental health on Sunday, May 10th, 2026 (Mother’s Day!) at the Westerville Sports Complex in Westerville, Ohio, for our 3rd Annual Mom Day 5k, 10k + Kiddo Dash! A gathering for all of “mom kind” and those affected by pregnancy struggles (miscarriages, stillbirths, hyperemesis gravidarum, infertility, and beyond) as well as postpartum struggles (anxiety, depression, isolation, and beyond). Family members, caregivers, fur moms, and ALL of humankind are welcomed and encouraged to join us! A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to POEM Ohio (Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement for Moms), which offers support, resources, referrals, and a sense of community to help moms and birthing persons in Ohio feel heard, understood, and empowered. You don’t have to be a mom to join us! We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and community members to come out and enjoy a special morning together.
Did you know postpartum depression and other mental health conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth? More than 30% of new moms & birthing persons experience them, according to POEM. We get to change this, one stride at a time. It's worth every mile to join us for this worthy cause.
Post-Race Celebration of Motherhood
Stick around after the race for our Celebration of Motherhood Village! Several local small businesses and nonprofits will be showcasing what they do for our community! We will have food and coffee for sale this year in addition to complimentary post-race snacks. We will have photo opportunities, mocktails, flowers, and more for 2026!

Swag
All participants who register by April 11th will receive a custom Mom Day 5K Tee. Participants who register after the deadline will get a tee on a first-come, first-served basis with limited sizes available. All in-person 5K participants will receive a fun giveaway with more details coming soon!
Early Packet Pickup
Save time in line on race day and get your race gear early at Columbus Running Company's Westerville location (50 N State St 43081) on Friday, May 9 (10a-8p) or Saturday, May 10 (10a-6p). Get your race gear early and check out the spring and summer apparel to keep you cool on race day.
Parking
Free parking is available at the Westerville Soccer Complex on a first-come, first-served basis!
Race Day Timeline
- 7:30 a.m. - Race Day Packet Pick Up Opens at Westerville Soccer Complex
- 8:00 a.m. - Honorary Race Director Welcome + Story Share
- 8:15 a.m. - Pre-race yoga and stretching
- 8:30 a.m. - Kiddo Dash (6 and under; 7-12 years divisions); Prizes for all who participate!
- 8:50 a.m. National Anthem
- 9:00 a.m. - 5K Start
- 10:00 a.m. - Celebration of Motherhood and post-race snacks, food trucks, raffles
Awards
All in-person 5K participants will receive traveler coffee mugs, compliments of our friends at The Diamond Cellar and a flower at the finish line.
Restrooms
Limited restrooms are available near the shelter/starting line and we will be having a few porta potties this year, too!
Safety
This event will happen rain or shine! Hopefully, May brings sunshine and good vibes. That being said, we will follow the safety protocol and delay the race for any lightning for the safety of participants.
Strollers are WELCOMED and celebrated! For the safety of all participants, please start near the back of the starting line to avoid tripping and overcrowding. For the safety of all participants, NO DOGS are allowed on the premises during the event and you will be kindly asked to leave if you bring a furry friend. We love our furry friends, but cannot welcome them to this event due to liability reasons.
