The Montana Gravel Challenge 2026!
We are proud to host the three-day, three-stage event, with mass starts and categories for all ages and abilities.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR!
- Recreation Division - Start at your pace and try to finish all three stages! You are in the results as a finisher with your time but no podiums
- Virtual Dvision - Complete the courses on your own schedule. Submit your Strava rides and get mixed in the results
- Both divisions receive the MGC schwag item

- 2:00 On-site Registration/Packet Pick Up Begins.
- 3:30 First Rider Off
- 6:30 Last Rider Off (can't make it by 6:30?, let us know)

Saturday, Petty Rd/Southside Schedule:
- 8:30 On-site Registration/Packet Pick Up, plus Black Coffee & Grist Treats
- 9:30 First Wave (Competitive) Start
- 9:40 Second Wave (Recreation/Paracyclist) Start

Awards and Scoring
The name of of the game is finish all three stages. All finishers of all three stages get an official Montana Gravel Challenge Hat. All starts will be considered for top 3 within categories. There will be one stocked aid station per stage with water and nutrition.

Where to Stay
If you’re looking for an indoor place to stay, the City Center Motel, the perfect place for cyclists 1. because of the fabulous accommodations and 2. along with the fact that you’ll likely see Keyvin at our races– he’s a wealth of knowledge about local roads and trails. City Center Motel is right in Downtown Missoula, where you’ll want to be when you’re not on your bike or in the mountains.
Not only is Bjorn, owner of Big Sky Brewery, hosting us on his property for the ride venue, onsite camping and trailer camping is also allowed. Please signup during registration. There will be portapotties and some running potable water but no RV hookups.
