Lil' Tri Kids Triathlon presented by Baptist OrthoNow

Montgomery Whitewater is All Forward into the Spring with the first Lil' Tri, presented by Baptist OrthoNow, of the season! Lil' Tri is a fun, kid-friendly triathlon for ages 6-11 featuring a 371-yard flatwater paddle, 704-yard bike ride, and 880-yard run. Montgomery Whitewater will provide all paddle equipment; participants must bring their own bike and helmet and wear secure shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs). Kids ages 6-10 must paddle with an adult in the inflatable kayak; 11-year-olds may paddle solo. Siblings may pair together. 

This race is not timed and has no official winners.

All participants who register by Monday, April 13th, will receive a race t-shirt and medal. Participants who register after Monday, April 13th,  will not receive a t-shirt.

The fun doesn’t end at the finish line. Stay for a full day of family fun, live music, and head-to-head raft races.

Saturday, April 25th

• Check-in begins at 9 am at the Raft Barn
• Race Starts at 10 am 

Race Packet Pick Up

• Friday, April 24th, 3–6 pm, at the Guest Services Desk in the Outfitter Store 

Before You Arrive

• Bring your own bicycle and helmet. These are required to participate.
• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes with backs. Crocs are not allowed. 
• This is not a timed race. Lil' Tri is all about fun, confidence, and crossing the finish line with a smile.
• Water, water, water! Please bring plenty to drink to stay hydrated throughout the day.

T-Shirts

• If you registered by Monday, April 13th,  your race t-shirt will be waiting for you at packet pick-up.
• If you registered after Monday, April 13th, we’re so glad you’re joining us. Just know that a t-shirt may not be included this time. 

Stick Around for the Fun

• Breakfast of Champions starting at 10 am
• Stick around to watch the 4th Annual All Forward Raft Race! 

Events are held rain or shine unless unsafe conditions require modification or cancellation. All registrations are final; no refunds, transfers, or deferrals will be issued. Montgomery Whitewater reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, or event details and to cancel or reschedule events for safety or operational reasons. Participants assume all risks, agree to event rules, and grant permission for promotional use of event media.
