Chip Timing
Provided by First Place Timing
How It Works: ChronoTrack + B‑Tag Timing
Your official race time is recorded by ChronoTrack using a disposable B‑Tag electronically embedded on your bib. To ensure your time is captured accurately, please:
- Attach the bib flat on the front of your torso, unaltered and pinned at all four corners
- Don’t fold, wrinkle, or cover the bib with jackets, belts, or hydration gear
- Wear it from start to finish—the B‑Tag must stay with the bib you were assigned; removing it invalidates your time
B‑Tag Timing
When you cross the starting mat, your B‑Tag (linked to your name, gender, age, etc.) is read, starting your chip time. Once you cross the finishing mat, it registers again. Just be sure to cross each timing mat for your time to count.
Chip Time vs. Gun Time (Powered by ChronoTrack)
- Gun Time (Clock Time):
Starts when the starter pistol fires, ending when you cross the finish. Used to determine the overall Male/Female winners—whoever crosses the line first. - Chip Time (Net Time):
Matches the exact time between your personal start and finish—your true running performance. This is what counts for age-group awards, personal records (PRs), and qualifiers, unaffected by delays in crowded starts.
Awards Breakdown
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers:
Based on Gun Time (i.e., first across the line). - Age-group awards:
Based on Chip Time, automatically recorded by your B‑Tag.

Water Stop #1 is located at 1805 S Eastern Ave.
Water Stop #2 is located at 1700 S. Broadway
The finish line is just a brief walk down Main Street from the starting line for those who wish to watch the festivities. There is plenty of parking at either location.
FAQ

Water stops: We will have two water stops along the course.
Packet Pickup: Westmoore High School, 12613 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170 from 5-8 pm Friday, August 22, 2025.
You can still pick up a packet on Saturday morning prior to the run, but we strongly recommend picking up on Friday evening.
Starting Line: Southwest corner of Moore High School at Main and Eastern Avenue.
For GPS purposes: Moore High School, 300 N. Eastern Avenue, Moore, OK 73160
A Note About the Trains: We cannot control the train schedule, though we wish we could! The 5K course is not impacted by the trains. However, the train tracks do run parallel between the start and the finish line. In some years this has caused a delay for spectators who want to watch both the start and the finish of the race. To ensure you don’t miss the finish, we suggest making a plan to cheer for runners from in front of The Station or in the Finish Line along Broadway.
Finish line and parking: The finish line is located on Broadway near the Old School at 201 N. Broadway Avenue. The finish line is just a brief walk down Main Street from the starting line pending any trains.
Start line: Parking is available at Moore High School. Absent any trains, you may walk back to your car via Main Street after the event.
You may also park at Central Junior High School, Moore City Hall, or the north side of The Old School and walk to the start line on Eastern Ave. Accessibility to the north will be available after the Run.
Start time: The run starts at 7:30 am. You’ll want to arrive at the start line prior to 7:00 am.
Registration: You can register online right up until the race starts. Register at moorewarrun.com. We will not accept cash for registration.
Road Closures: The streets will close just prior to the run. Intersections will reopen as the last participants pass the intersection. The run starts on Eastern Avenue and travels South to 19th street, West on 19th, and North on Broadway. This allows us to provide a safe course for our participants.
Athletic teams: Junior high and high school athletes will register through their coach. They will receive their race shirt following the race via their coach.
Groups: Discounts apply for groups of 15 people or more. Contact us: moorewarrun@yahoo.com to register a group.
