Join the community of Seward for the 98th annual running of the Mount Marathon Race.
The men’s and women’s course is a grueling 1.5-mile climb up, and back down, Alaska’s majestic and treacherous Mount Marathon. Runners from around the world join Seward residents and runners from around Alaska, in pursuit of a common goal: to win, place, or simply complete this iconic footrace.
Mount Marathon awaits you, and future generations of bold mountain runners!
Registration Information
The registration process will be different in 2025. You will register here on RunSignup.
- If you are a PRIORITY entrant, you will receive an email inviting you to register between March 1-31. If you know you have priority, but you do not receive an email, contact director@mountmarathon.com
- If you are entering the LOTTERY, you will have to join the Mount Marathon Lottery Group, then you will be able to enter the lottery event. Note that this two step process includes a payment to enter the lottery then a pre-authorization of a payment for your race registration, but you will only be charged for your race registration if you win the lottery.
- Lottery results will be announced in early April. If you win, you will be notified automatically of your entry and your payment will be automatically processed.
