About MS Kids Triathlon and Double Dash
Mississippi's premier Kids Triathlon is coming back to Reunion on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. We will have two kid's age groups, a Junior division (6-10) and a Senior division (11-15). The entire race takes place within the Reunion neighborhood. New to triathlon? Only have a mountain bike, hybrid bike, or road bike? This is your opportunity to explore a new adventure and new sport! Be sure to check out the volunteer portal so that you can help with the race as well. We are also having the adult triathlon, Double Dash, immediately following the MS Kids Triathlon again this year! Divisions and Awards
The kids race will be divided into 2 divisions defined by age, Junior and Senior. There will be a Junior division for both boys and girls in age ranging from 6 - 10 years. There will be a Senior division for both boys and girls ranging in age from 11 - 15 years.
Please note that if your child turns 11 during this calendar year (2026), triathlon considers their "racing age" as 11. Therefore, they will race in the Senior Division.
Awards will be given to the top 3 boys and top 3 girls in each division.
The Double Dash Triathlon will be for everyone 16 years of age and older. Awards will be given to the top 3 males and top 3 females.
Double Dash Course (16+)
The Double Dash consists of a 150 meter lake swim, a 3 mile bike, a 1.2 mile run, a 150 meter lake swim, a 3 mile bike, and a 1.2 mile run all within Reunion. The courses will all be marked with signage indicating mileage and turns. Where applicable all routes will be staffed with police and/or volunteers.
Double Dash Swim
The swim course is a 150 meter lake swim starting and ending on the Reunion Beach. Participants will enter the water on the north side of the beach and swim to a turn buoy and make a 90* right turn swim to the second turn buoy and make the last 90* right turn taking them to the beach.
Double Dash Bike
The bike course is a 3 mile out and back all within Reunion. Bikers will turn around on Lake Village Dr. at Lamour Pte.
Double Dash Run
The run is an out and back 1.2 mile run within Reunion.
Junior Division Courses (6 - 10)
The Junior race consists of a 100 meter lake swim, a 3 mile bike, and a 0.6 mile run all within Reunion. The courses will all be marked with signage indicating mileage and turns. Where applicable all routes will be staffed with police and/or volunteers. Please note that if your child turns 11 during this calendar year (2026), triathlon considers their "racing age" as 11. Therefore, they will race the Senior Course.
Junior Swim
The junior division swim course is a 100 meter lake swim starting and ending on the Reunion Beach. Participants will enter the water on the north side of the beach and swim to a turn buoy and make a 90* right turn swim to the second turn buoy and make the last 90* right turn taking them to the beach.
Junior Bike
The junior division bike course is a 3 mile out and back staying within Reunion. Bike down Lake Village Dr. and do a U-Turn at Lamour Pte.
Junior Run
The junior run is an out and back 0.6 mile run within Reunion.
Senior Division Courses (11 - 15)
The Senior race consists of a 150 meter lake swim, a 5 mile bike, and a 1.2 mile run all within Reunion. The courses will all be marked with signage indicating mileage and turns. Where applicable all routes will be staffed with police and/or volunteers.
Senior Swim
The senior division swim course is a 150 meter lake swim starting and ending on the Reunion Beach. Participants will enter the water on the north side of the beach and swim to a turn buoy and make a 90* right turn swim to the second turn buoy and make the last 90* right turn taking them to the beach.
Senior Bike
The senior division bike course is an out and back totaling 5 miles all within Reunion. Riders will come out of transition and go around the round about all the way to the left and down Lake Village Drive. You will take a U-turn at Reunion Parkway and return to Reunion Village Green.
Senior Run
The senior run is an out and back 1.2 mile run within Reunion.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will occur on Friday, August 7th, 2026 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm and the morning of the race from 6:00am until 7:30am at Reunion Village Green.
Onsite Registration
Onsite registration will be $70 for the MS Kids Triathlon. Onsite registrations will be accepted on Friday, August 7th, 2026 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm Only. T-shirt size and availability will be limited for onsite registrations. Registrations will not be accepted on race morning.
