About New Year's Day Peanut Butter Chip Chase 5K Walk/Run
Online Registration is Now Closed. You may register in person this morning begining at 10:45 A.M.
For nearly 50 years, this race/walk has been a New Year's Day tradition in Temple, NH. This race is sponsored by the Souhegan Lions, who use the proceeds to help people in the towns of Temple, New Ipswich, Greenville, and Mason with sight and hearing needs, scholarships, as well as with emergencies such as fires and other causes. Just a note, while we love dogs, dogs are not allowed in the race. This year's pricing Early Bird (10/1 thru 10/31) pricing: Adult $25, Youth 1-16 $20. Regular (11/1 thru 12/31) pricing: Adult $30, Youth 1-16 $25. Race Day Registration Adult $35, Youth 1-16 $30. Shirts will be offered to the first 100 registrants. Preferred sizes will be accommodated to the extent possible.

Why Choose This New Year's 5K Race?
The Souhegan Lions Club has held the P'nut Butter Chip Chase 5K Walk or Run for nearly 50 years. This event began as a local New Year's Day activity and grew into a walk/run that around 150 people show up for each year! It’s a cheerful and healthy way to start the new year with area runners and friendly lions club members. Race scoring will be done professionally by North Star Timing. As is tradition, home made cookies and soup will be served during the awards and prizes ceremony. Please register and connect with us!
The P'nut Butter Chip Chase 5K Course
The P'nut Butter Chip Chase 5K course is a scenic country course with rolling hills. Many entrants make this race a New Year's Day tradition. With a noon start, it's even possible to bring in the new year and wake up in time to get to Chip Chase by late morning.
