Benefitting the Saranac Lake Youth Center and Saranac Lake Rotary Club's Literacy Program

The Olga 5 and 10K Run and 5K Walk has become a traditional Saranac Lake summer event. For the past 29 years it has continued to support multiple community causes, including the Riverwalk, Girl Scouts and the Skatepark. This year we are pleased to continue the partnership between the Rotary Club of Saranac Lake and the Saranac Lake Youth Center. Our goal is to raise $10,000. The proceeds will benefit our local youth through increased programming at the Youth Center and enhance the Rotary's literacy program that puts a book in the hands of every child in the elementary school.
The course is mostly flat, circling Moody Pond and passing by Lake Flower. The 10K is a two loop course and is a true 10K distance. Race results, raffle and awards ceremony immediately following the last finisher.

- Awards to the top three male and female finishers in each age division in the 5K and 10K runs and awards to the top male and female in two age divisions in the walk.

ATTENTION: There has been a course change! Please review the PDF map!
The start and finish are at the same place on Main Street. When you are on your last lap (1 lap for 5K, 2 laps for 10K) and coming down Church Street - at that Church St./St. Bernard St intersection (it's a 4-way stop) you will cross to the opposite side of the street and continue down Church St on the sidewalk and then turn left on to Main Street at the Church St./Main St intersection. There will be cones to distinguish a finish lane on Main St. There will be 2 road monitors at the Church St./St. Bernard street intersection and 3 road monitors at the Church St./Main St. intersection.
The roads are NOT CLOSED so please be aware and remember you are responsible for your own safety. The course will be well marked with 3 water stations and a bike sweep. Announcements will be made prior to the start of the race.
