About Om Run
Om Run was launched in 2009 to bring the Bay Area Chinmaya Mission Family together. It is a fun filled day of outdoor activities for people of all ages. Om Run hosts more than 2000 people annually. It is the largest community building event organized by CMSJ. Om Run has evolved into a unique running event, in that, the focus is on community building with attractions such as pony rides, inflatable games, music and food along with a 5K, 10K and a 1/2 marathon race. Beautiful Vasona Park has breathtaking vistas and has hosted Om Run for the past several years.

Q. Who do I ask for help?
A. Any volunteer in a volunteer vest
Q. What do I do if I have a medical emergency?
A. Report it to the ER personnel. There is an ER station at the start/finish line, and every water station is manned by ER personnel.
Q. Will there be food?
A. Yes. You can purchase food coupons on site and at packet pickup. Food coupons are non-refundable. Food coupons from previous years cannot be used.
Q. What if I fail to collect my shirt?
A. Unclaimed shirts will be sold after 9:30 AM on event day.
Q. Is there a fee to participate in the mela games and activities?
A. Yes, $10 for unlimited fun. You will need a wristband (sold at the event or packet pickup), and you will be required to sign the mandatory Om Run participant waiver to participate. To save time, please bring a signed Om Run participant waiver with you. Participant waiver available here .
Q. Is there a course time limit to complete the race?
A. The course limit is 1 hour for the 5K race, 2 hours for 10K race, and 4 hours for the Half Marathon.
Q. Will there be pacers for the race?
A. Yes, for the Half Marathon race, we will have pacers for 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00 hour pace to help you accomplish your goal.

Q. How will my race time be computed?
A. All race times will be computed by an embedded chip in the race bib, provided you finish within the course time limit.
Q. How do I find my race time?
A. Race times will be posted on this website, usually available as soon as you finish the race. A QR code will be available at the finish line for your convenience to access the results page.
Q. Will I get a finisher certificate
A. Yes, you will be able to download your finisher certificate from the results page on this website.

Winners are selected on chip time only. To be eligible for an award, participants must start within 5 minutes of the start time, and run with their own bib. Any exchange of bibs will lead to a disqualification from the winner category.
Winners are eligible only for the race registered for. Any changes to race distance without the approval from the OmRun race director will disqualify runners from the winner category.
Race Do’s & Don’t
- Arrive at the starting line at least 30 minutes before race start
- Carry water, electrolyte and/or food during the race for your convenience
- Apply sunscreen before the race and hydrate before, during, and after the race.
- Stay on the right side of the trail
- Stay on the trail and follow volunteer instructions.
- Please pick up after yourself, keep the trail clean.
- Step on the timing mats, do not go around them.
- Do not lose your Bib. No award without bib.
- Do not run a different race than the one you registered for. This will disqualify you.
- Do not use someone else’s bib. This will disqualify you.
- If possible, please do not carry valuables or bring bulky strollers on the trail
- For your safety, use of headphones during the race is strongly discouraged.
Race Details
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must start your race no later than 10 minutes of the official start time to qualify as a race finisher.
- For Half Marathon, must start no later than 8:10am
- For 10K, must start no later than 8:55am
- For 5K, must start no later than 9:10am

Event Day Parking
- Parking at Vasona is $6, please carry exact change.
- Please follow parking volunteer instructions.
- Please check for road closures and plan at least 30 minutes for parking.
