About OneLegacy Donate Life Run/Walk 2026
OneLegacy Donate Life Run Walk is back!
Join us for our 2026 OneLegacy Donate Life Run Walk to run or walk with your team and celebrate the power of organ, eye and tissue donation.
Founded in 2003 by local organizers Craig and Kathleen Hostert of Fullerton, the annual OneLegacy Donate Life Run/Walk is the largest event of its kind in the nation. The event features an inspiring opening ceremony, competitive 5K run and healthy 5K/1K walk, followed by a Family Festival with food vendors, live entertainment, special activities for children and a raffle drawing.
A non-competitive 5K/1K Run/Walk to educate and inspire the community about organ, eye, and tissue donation with proceeds benefiting the OneLegacy Foundation.

ABOUT US
Founded by Craig and Kathleen Hostert, the Donate Life Run/Walk is celebrating its 24th Anniversary! After Craig became the recipient of a life saving kidney transplant, they made it their mission to spread the word about organ donation. In 2003, they founded the Southern California Donate Life Run/Walk and Family Festival which has grown to the largest gathering in the country to promote organ, eye and tissue donation.
From its humble beginnings on the campus of California State University, Fullerton, the Run/Walk has moved to Azusa, CA, the new home of OneLegacy's corporate headquarters. Azusa Pacific University will host the same fantastic event that donation and transplantation advocates have been enjoying for years: a Circle of Life Garden where dedicated signs will be on display; Ted's, Hedrick's and Deceased Donor Family team villages; exhibitors; kid zone; food; and, most importantly, fun!
The Donate Life Run/Walk supports OneLegacy Foundation’s mission to save and heal lives by inspiring and advancing donation and transplantation of organs and tissues through research, public education, and honoring donors whose legacies live on.

REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN
Every participant must be registered to obtain a wristband and gain access to the event field. Please be sure to register ahead of time to avoid delays on event day!
Have your registration confirmation & QR code ready when you arrive. Printing out the email can help save time!

REGISTRATION FEES

- $40 per person (Card only, No cash is accepted)
Individuals (not registering with a team)
- $37 per person
Deceased Donor Family Team Members
- $27 per person (-$7 discount available through February 20, 2026 with promo code)
General, Hospital and, Funeral Home Team Members
- $37 per person for teams of 3 or fewer*
- $30 per person for teams of 4 or more
*When a team reaches 4 members, the first 3 members will each receive a $7 refund automatically.
Children 12 and Under
- $10 per person (price is applied when age is entered on the registration page)

INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO
This year we have a new registration system that is different from what you may be used to. Watch this video to see how it’s done. All participants must register via the website; we will not be accepting any paper registrations this year.
VOLUNTEER AGE REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers aged 14 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone.
T-SHIRTS
T-shirts will be given to all registered participants; personalized Deceased Donor Family shirts will be offered to the first 4,000 DDF registrants or by 03/05/2026, whichever comes first. DDF photos are to be submitted using https://www.onelegacy.org/forms/photos/ no later than 03/06/2026. If you are having issues with uploading your photo, email donorfamilyrunwalk@onelegacy.org. As of 03/06/2026, DDF participants will receive the general Run/Walk t-shirt. Registrants who sign up after 4/19/2026 are not guaranteed to receive a race day commemorative shirt.
T-SHIRT DISTRIBUTION
Custom Donor Family T-Shirts will be boxed together by team and provided to each team captain at registration/pre-registered check-in.
General Event T-Shirts will be given to all other participants on an individual basis at registration/pre-registered check-in.
If you are registered but unable to attend, a team member may pick up your t-shirt for you at the event, just be sure to forward them your confirmation email and QR code. General event t-shirts for absent attendees can be obtained by returning to the pre-registered check-in area after the start of the 5k race. General event T-shirts cannot be obtained for absent attendees prior to the start of the 5k race.
Early t-shirt/packet pick-up information will be provided at a later time.
HOW TO CUSTOMIZE MY TEAM PAGE
Once you have completed your registration in the system and set up a new team, you will be sent an email that says Team Created for 24th Anniversary – OneLegacy Donate Life Run/Walk 2026. In that email, there will be a link that says Your Team Management Page. Please select that link to customize your team page. Your team page will open in a new browser. Once there, you will select the social settings button under the group details section. Once the social settings section is open, you will select the logo button to change your team photo.
FUNDRAISING
Should you wish to do so, fundraising can be done online. If you have friends or family that wish to contribute by check, please have checks made out to "OneLegacy Foundation" as we are no longer able to accept checks made payable to any other name. CIRCLE OF LIFE GARDEN
Sponsorship for Circle of Life Garden Signs available until March 25th, 2026. Please go to the Circle of Life Garden Sponsorship tab listed on the menu directory above. Please submit the picture and 15 word messaging to be used to https://www.onelegacy.org/forms/photos/ by March 26th, 2026. If you are having issues with uploading your photo, email donorfamilyrunwalk@onelegacy.org.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
This is a live event. The Cancellation/Refund policy is non-negotiable. Our cancellation/refund policy is that your registration and any related fees are not refundable. Refunds will not be issued at any time after purchase for any reason. We understand that last minute emergencies and unforeseen events happen, but the Cancellation/Refund policy will be applied without exception. No refunds will be issued even if the event is cancelled or postponed due to an act of God or government mandates.
SUBSTITUTING YOUR REGISTRATION

BRING BACK YOUR TEAM
As a team captain you can bring back your fundraising team from the previous donation period. You must be logged into your RunSignUp account when you are registering for this years event. If you decide to “Bring Back” your team, after registration, all previous fundraising team members are sent notification emails.
