Overdose Lifeline Outpacing the Stigma 5K Run/Walk

Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for the 6th Annual Overdose Lifeline Outpacing the Stigma 5K Run/Walk. Together, we'll honor the lives of those we've lost to overdose, support individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, and raise funds for Heart Rock Justus Family Recovery Center.

Every person lost to overdose leaves behind parents, children, siblings, friends, and entire communities. This 5K is about honoring those lives while helping more families heal together.

Every registration helps keep moms and babies together while they heal. Since opening in 2022, Heart Rock has served more than 89 moms and 45 babies, providing recovery support, stable housing, and hope for families working toward a healthier future.

Your Impact

$1,500 provides one month of housing and recovery support for a mom.
$1,000 provides one month of housing and essential supplies for a baby.
$750 provides a year's supply of diapers.
$150 sponsors a Child Advocate.
$75 provides a hygiene basket for a mom.
$50 provides a hygiene basket for a baby.

Overdose Lifeline office is headquartered just southwest of the Butler University campus in Indianapolis. We are excited to offer a beautiful fall 5k run/walk that goes through the campus, the gardens, and then back along the towpath on the canal. Participants will love the views, and the course will allow for some solid race times as well!

Parking is free. Parking on-site will be first come, first served and overflow parking is nearby within a three (3) block walk. 

All Overdose Lifeline 5k Racers will receive:

• Comfy "They Are Worth Saving" Long-Sleeve T-shirt
• Mylaps Chip Timing, Overall Awards 
• Entry into raffle for Runner's Forum gift certificate
• Beautiful Scenic Run through Butler Campus
• Warm fuzzies knowing all proceeds will support Heart Rock Justus Family Recovery Center, ensuring that Moms and children can live, grow, and be healthy together.

Those who choose to race virtually will have the freedom to sleep-in and run wherever they choose from October 17-31, 2026. Hit the trails in the afternoon or a treadmill while watching Netflix. Your call!

Virtual participants may attend the same packet pickup as the live event participants. Or have a participating friend grab your packet for you.

Don't want to attend Packet Pickup? No problem. You will have the option to add-on shipping to your registration. We will start shipping the Virtual Packets in the week following the race.
