About Palmer Lake July 4th Fun Run
Welcome to the 44th Annual July 4th Fun Run, presented by Black Hills Energy—Palmer Lake Elementary School’s largest and longest-running fundraiser! Sign up early for the best pricing and secure your spot as we celebrate our country’s 250th and our state’s 150th anniversaries.
The course runs from the south end of Palmer Lake to Monument via the Santa Fe Trail. Run, jog, walk, skip, or parade along the route while enjoying beautiful views of the front range, encouraging signs and an all around good time. Did we mention the trail is a slight downhill, too?!? Each registration fee goes toward supporting students and teachers at Palmer Lake Elementary.

- THURSDAY JULY 2 from 4-6pm at The Colorado Running Company, 5262 N. Nevada Avenue, Ste 140 in Colorado Springs.

RACE DAY, JULY 4 from 5:30-7am. New Location: Look for race volunteers at the pedestrian bridge in the parking area on the west side of the lake.
- Race Course
- The race is 4 miles long. The start line is on the south end of Palmer Lake. The course goes around the lake once and continues south along the Santa Fe Trail. Finish line will be near 3rd street in downtown Monument.
- Start Time
- The race will begin promptly at 7am on July 4th.
- Parking
- Parking will be on the west side of the lake in designated parking lots located of the north of the Pickleball courts. All race parking is accessible from HWY 105. Please use the bridge to cross over to the race course.
- Shuttle
- All racers can take a free shuttle back to the parking lots in Palmer Lake. Board the shuttle bus at Adams and 2nd Street. The last shuttle will leave Monument at 9am. No strollers allowed on shuttles.
- Pets
- As much as we love our furry friends, our permits do not allow pets on the race course. For the safety of both runners and pets, please leave your four-legged friends at home.

PACKET PICKUP
There are three opportunities to pick up your packet. Please note, pickup on July 4th is in a new location this year:

**Please pick up your shirt and bib before race day. Shirts/sizes cannot be guaranteed if picked up on race morning**
RACE DAY, JULY 4 from 5:30-6:45am on the west side of the lake at the pedestrian bridge. Website registration will be open until the start of the race. The race will begin promptly at 7am.
Racing from afar? Although we’ve discontinued the virtual race option, packets will be mailed for a donation of $10 per registration and will be sent no later than July 1st (depending on location, we cannot guarantee your packet will make it to you for the in-person race).

Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Stay tuned for prize details.
