Paws in the Park 5k Run/Walk

Join us for our 9th annual 5k run/walk at Cascades Falls Park! The park is located at 1401 S Brown St, Jackson, MI 49203. Paws in the Park is one of Cascades Humane Society’s largest fundraisers of the year. All donations and registration fees go straight to the animals in our care.  Paws in the Park 2026 will be on Saturday, May 30, 2026 and features a beautiful 5k run/walk around Cascades Falls Park.  Leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate in the event.  Prefer a short distance or a casual troll?  Join us for our 1 Mile Woof Walk!  Each 5k participant will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal.  Each Woof Walk participant will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed with registrations by April 30, 2026. Supplies are available as they last after that date.

Early Packet Pick Up will be at Cascades Humane Society on Friday, May 29th from 12:00 - 6:00 pm.  

Can't make it? Join the Paws in the Park Virtual 5k.

Can’t make the race, but want to support CHS and our furry friends? This virtual race you can complete on your own time and at your favorite place.  Run, jog, walk, or roll whenever it is convenient to you.  Remember to use Strava, RunKeeper, MapMyRun, or your preferred APP to keep track of your route and mileage.

Have other friends or family who wish to participate? Register with 3 or more people and receive a discount of $3 per registrant!

Timing

The race will be chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. 

The top 3 places in each age group receive a medal.  We will also be celebrating our canine participants, top dog awards will be given to the first 3 dogs to cross the finish line in the 5k run and 5k walk!  We will not have an award ceremony. Awards can be picked up at the registration tent or later at CHS.

Age Groups: 15 and under, 16 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 +

You will be able to pick up your packet at Cascades Humane Society, on May 29 from 12:00 - 6:00 pm.  We will also have packet pick up on-site the morning of the race starting at 9:00 am. 

No packet pick-up is needed for the Doggie Dash

Help support our wonderful cause and we'll give you a FREE entry.  When you donate $50 your entry fee will be free.  When you donate $25 you'll receive $5 off your entry fee. Register and follow the steps on the donation screen and choose either the $50 donation level or $25 donation level. The discount will be automatically applied during checkout. Discounts are valid for the 5k in-person and 1 mile walk in-person events only.
