We do not chip time which keeps costs down and helps you keep more money for the cause that you are partnered with.

We are now partnering with RSU and will help races set up their registration page(s) to optimize your race's potential to get the most sign ups possible, streamline your race day check in and registration as well as enhance your fundraising opportunities through their software options.

Meet our timers

Curt Winders

Curt Winders is the Owner and Primary Timer at Perfect Timing. A former three-sport athlete from Spencer, Indiana, Curt earned nine varsity letters in cross country, basketball, and track during his time with the Patriots. His deep passion for the running community reflects a lifelong connection to the sport. A unique highlight of Curt's journey is that he and his wife, Jen, tied the knot while running a half marathon.

Over the past decade at Perfect Timing, Curt has timed hundreds of races and directed events such as the Hoosier Half Marathon and Hoosiers Outrun Cancer. He has also managed USATF track meets and cross-country races and contributed to course development for numerous races across south-central Indiana. Certified in RunSignup and RaceDay CheckIn, Curt has facilitated the setup and renewal of hundreds of races for thousands of participants.

Residing in Bloomington, Curt shares his life with his wife Jennifer and their four children—Jacob, Grace, Hannah, and Caleb—all of whom attended Lighthouse Christian Academy and Bloomington North High School.

Professionally, Curt serves as a Senior Planner at Boston Scientific in Spencer, Indiana, specializing in medical devices for Endoscopy and Urology procedures. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family and exploring the great outdoors through hiking.

Jacob Fowler

Jacob is a son of Curt Winders and is a timer for Perfect Timing. Being from a family of runners, it was only a matter of time before Jacob became interested in competitive running. This led to some good feats, as he was a part of a high school state competing 4x800 relay team. Jacob suggests, however, that beyond the competition, running fosters unity (some say this mindset change was prompted by being outperformed by his decade-younger brother.) During college at Indiana University, Jacob would use running as a form of meditation. Jacob’s current relationship with running is that he goes on runs with his friends and has meaningful conversations while doing so.

Professionally, Jacob is the Housing Consultant for Clear Creek Homes, a custom home builder in Bloomington. He is a multi-recreational-athlete. During any given week, Jacob engages in a variety of activities: renting a basketball court with his large pickup basketball group, playing pickleball, participating in a bowling league, and going for runs. The critics say there is no way he will have time for all of these activities in five years or so. Regardless, Jacob wishes to always connect with others through activity and this is why he cares about your finish in the race.

Tim Ryder

Tim's passion for running spans over three decades, rooted in his collegiate experience as a runner for Indiana University (IU). Staying connected to his alma mater, Tim embarked on a professional journey at IU, where he became an integral part of the university's track and field community, timing both indoor and outdoor meets. His dedication extended into the local running scene, where he also timed high school indoor and outdoor track meets and competed in numerous Mag7 5k road races.

As a current member of the Mag7 race series committee, Tim plays a key role in promoting and supporting road races across the region. He earned a BA in History and African American Studies from IU and, professionally, has built a successful career in IT. Tim is the Associate Director of IT Support and Operations at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU.

Caleb Webb

Caleb is a current student at IU Indianapolis where he competes at the Division 1 level in cross country and track.Originally born in Ohio, he has so many roots in Bloomington that you might as well call him a Hoosier and a Cougar.  He initially began running as a 6th grader to stay in shape for basketball, but quickly fell in love with the sport and hasn't looked back. Caleb competed for all four years of high school, ultimately culminating in back-to-back state titles in indoor track, as well as a state cross country team title in his senior year at Bloomington North.
Caleb enjoys learning just as much as running, and has a variety of academic and practical interests. He spent his summers throughout high school (in between training for the next season) by working alongside a civil engineer where he learned practical trade skills such as indoor plumbing and electrical wiring, while also earning a 9 month internship within an IU Health Laboratory. Currently Caleb is working toward earning a BS in Chemistry with the goal of eventually applying to Law School.
