About Road America Walk-Run

Join the fight against cancer, as our community rallies together to honor, celebrate and remember loved ones and take action for lifesaving change.

For more than 45 years, thousands of Road America Walk/Run participants and volunteers have come together and raised over $5 million to save lives from cancer. This year our goal is to raise $180,000! Money raised from the Road America Walk/Run help fund local programs and services and fund critical cancer research. The Road America Walk/Run continues to be more than just an event - it's a movement, a community of like-minded survivors, caregivers, volunteers and running enthusiasts who believe that the future can be free from the pain and suffering caused by cancer.

This safe, family friendly event includes a timed 4 Mile Run, self timed 4 Mile Walk, Kids Fun Run and Virtual Walk/Run. Participants are encouraged to join as an individual or form a team with your family, church, school, club or company.

2025 Road America Participant Bibs
Participants in the Road America 4 Mile TIMED Run will receive a chip timed bib number at registration.  (These runners will be eligible for the event award categories)
Participants in the Road America 4 Mile WALK, Kids Fun Run & Virtual Run/Walk will receive a Road America general bib that will NOT have a participant number on it.

What happens with the money raised from the American Cancer Society Road America Walk/Run?

Funds raised through American Cancer Society Road America Walk/Run support the American Cancer Society ‘s fight to end cancer.  Specifically, these dollars are used to make a difference by funding critical research, educating people on prevention and early detection, and providing free information and services to help people facing cancer today-including transportation, lodging, wigs, support programs and more.

 

Is there a required fundraising minimum?

There is no fundraising minimum, however in order to make the biggest impact we can on the fight against cancer we suggest all participants set a minimum fundraising goal of $100. Fundraising isn’t all we do, but all we do depends on fundraising.

 

Can our company be invoiced for our team participants?

Yes, we can assign a unique discount code for your company participants to use when registering online and invoice your company after the event. To get a discount code please contact Devin Schiesser at devin.schiesser@cancer.org

 

Can I register my family or team members?

YES! You can register as many people as you want under one transaction. We also have a mass upload option for our large teams that are invoiced. Contact Devin if you would like more information using the mass upload option.

 

Are dogs allowed at the event? 

NO. Only verified service animals are allowed at Road America. 

 

What should I do if I raise funds offline?

You may send collected cash/checks to the American Cancer Society office: PO Box 902, Pewaukee, WI, 53072. Please be sure to include your team and name so we can credit properly. 

 

Is my registration fee tax deductible?

Yes, tax deductible to the full extent of the law. When you register online you will receive a confirmation e-mail that serves as your receipt for tax purposes. When registering by mail or in person, your cancelled check serves as your receipt. For cash, a receipt can be given.

Kids Fun Run

Kids 13 & under can join in the Kids Fun Run.  This non-competitive, .621-mile run takes place on the track at 9:15am.  Kids are also welcome to run/walk in the 4 mile race at no extra cost. 

Kids who want to participate in the chip timed run should register for the 5K Run option so they receive the appropriate race bib. Kids Fun Run participants will receive the generic (non timed) event bib. 

 

 

 

Packet Pick Up

Thank you for registering to participate in the ROAD AMERICA WALK/RUN. As a registered participant, you will receive a race packet including:
- 2025 Road America event t-shirt
- Bib
- Safety Pins

We have several options for you to pick up your 2025 participant packet. 

Pre Packet-Pick-Up hours will be offered at the Sheboygan YMCA (812 Broughton Dr, Sheboygan, WI 53081

Thursday, October 23rd: 11AM-7PM

Thursday, October 30th: 11AM-7PM

**If you are not able to pick up your packet early, they will be available for pickup on the day of the event at the registration tent. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you are on a team please check with your team captain FIRST to see how they will be distributing your teams race packets.

Tent Rental Information

The only reserved spots will be for teams reserving a tent through Road America. To secure a tent at the track, contact Andy Anderson at Road America at: aanderson@roadamerica.com

Please note: Teams aren't allowed to contract with an outside tent company for the event - tents must be reserved through Road America. There will be No Electricity at tailgate sites. 

**ALL TEAMS MUST VACATE THE ROAD AMERICA GROUNDS BY 2:00PM ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1.**

If you rent a tent, you will be provided with a map to share with your team members on October 31.

Tribute Signs

We have 2 ways for you to HONOR, CELEBRATE or REMEMBER your loved ones that have been touched by cancer at the Road America Walk/Run event.  

   

TRIBUTE SIGN - Place your order for a 18" wide X 24" high, full color sign, that will be placed along the final hill of the track route for all walkers and runners to see. You will be able to pick up your tribute sign after the race on Nov. 1. A fee of $25 per sign is required and you will need to submit your photo and verbiage when placing the order.

Virtual Race

With our virtual race option you can run from anywhere at anytime! You choose the time and place to walk or run your 4 miles. Your 4 miles can be done on your favorite trail, while on vacation, or on your treadmill. You can do it on any day that works for you.

When you register for the virtual race you will receive:

- A 2025 event shirt
- Event race bib
- Online fundraising tools
- You will be eligible for the fun Road America contest and prizes leading up to the event.

Virtual Race Rules:

Our virtual runs are staged completely on the honor system. By registering, we assume you will complete the mileage required. 

After registering for the Virtual Race, you may complete your 4 miles until December 1.

Price: Adult $30.00 Race Fee   Kids (13 & under) $15

Registration: ends November 1st at 11:59pm CDT

For anyone registered on a team- race shirts/bibs will be included with team pick up package. Individual virtual participants will have race shirts/bibs distributed by being mailed directly to the participant.   Participants registered after October 24 will be mailed their shirt/bib after the event.
