ROB'S TRAIL RUN EDITION

Race 5K through the trails at Stillwell Woods Preserve, located in Woodbury, NY. This Race will benefit THE CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.

Rob’s Run is dedicated to the memory of Rob Lauterborn, an extraordinary human being, talented runner. Rob was a member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Road Runner's Club

8 & UNDER (youth), 9-13 (youth) 14-18 (High School), 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

TEAM AWARDS:- (teams are made up of 4 members)

• OPEN TEAM - MALE, FEMALE & COED 1ST, 2ND & 3RD (any ages)
• MASTERS TEAM - MALE, FEMALE & COED 1ST, 2ND & 3RD (40-59yrs old)
• SENIOR MASTERS - MALE, FEMALE & COED 1ST, 2ND & 3RD (60yrs old)
• HIGH SCHOOL  - MALE, FEMALE & COED 1ST, 2ND & 3RD (19 & Under)

Every athlete at a Race Awesome Event is important, from the first finisher to the final finisher. We encourage all athletes to stay and enjoy the post-race food & beverages and to cheer in the final finisher. The awards ceremony will commence as soon as the final finisher crosses the line, and the raffle will take place at the end of the awards ceremony. You must be there to win.

If you can't stay for the awards CONTACT US. We will give you directions as to how you can send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope for 2 pounds, and your award will be shipped to you.

The Trail Run Course. (One loop 5K)

The Trail Run will use the trail system inside Stillwell Woods Preserve. While we have a course planned it is subject to CHANGE. We will be working with CLIMB, (Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists) who will help us make sure we preserve the trails in Stillwell Woods Preserve.

9:00 a.m. MEN'S & WOMEN's combined - RACE START - time trial start, 5 athletes every 10 seconds. 
10:15 a.m. Awards Ceremony Starts Trail Runners

Packet Pick-up

DECEMBER 1st, 2024
7:30a.m. - 8:50a.m. (RACE SITE) Stillwell Woods Preserve.

Important Info
All participants must pick up their own packet on or prior to race day.

Please do NOT call Packet Pick-Up locations, as they do NOT have information on the event.  Email us (RaceAwesome@RaceAwesome.com) your question, we will be sure to get back to you ASAP.

IMPORTANT:
Correct Bib# Placement: FRONT OF TORSO!
The photos on RunSignUp will be easily searchable by your name or Bib# as long as your Bib# clearly shows in the photo. 
So please take your time to have your Bib# clearly exposed on the FRONT of your chest or abdomen, NOT on your back or on your side!

Parking
Race Day Parking is at the Soccer Fields @ Stillwell Woods Park. Should the lot be filled please park in surrounding areas. Allow time to walk into the Glider Field to RaceDay Check-in

1- at the start line. Be sure to look toward the camera, about 20 yards away, as you leave the start arch!

2- at about the 0.1 mi mark.

3- at 1.75 mi mark, This is where you make a sharp left turn onto the Red trail

4- at 3 mi mark, you are almost done and making a sharp left turn to the Finish Line.

5- at the Finish Line. Be sure to keep your head up, don’t look at your watch, throw your hands up, celebrate, and Smile for the camera.

We normally try to take 2 photos right before the FL, and then 2 photos as you pass under the FL.

If you are too close to the runner in front of you, they will block your FL photo.

The True Price

Our Policy:- We don't feel that the "service charge/convenience charge" is fair to any athlete. At Race Awesome the price you see is the price you pay, nothing more. This is our "True Price Guarantee".

Refund Policy

What We Offer:- 

RaceAwesome will now allow athletes to defer their entry to the following year's race. This has to be done 7 days prior to Race Day. There is a $10 fee to defer your entry to the following year.

You can transfer at no cost and at any time to the Virtual Race and your SWAG will be mailed out to you after the Race.

If the race is canceled or postponed for any reason including a Pandemic / Force Majeure / Acts of God / Acts of Terrorism / Weather etc. all athletes will be transferred to the Virtual Race and your SWAG will be mailed out to you.

However, if you are injured, simply email us at RaceAwesome@RaceAwesome.com and explain your injury. We will then offer you the opportunity to come and work at the event you registered for. In return for working at the event, we will roll your entry over to the same race the following year at no charge. We don't require a doctor's note, honesty is just fine for us.

Your Bib# must be clearly displayed on the FRONT of your chest or abdomen to help identify your photos!

So as long as your Bib# CLEARLY shows in the photo, they will be easily searchable by your Name or Bib#.

Every participant, official, volunteer and spectator should consider all safety issues and make related decisions prudently without reliance upon the Competitive Rules.

Safety

A Shared Responsibility:- No matter what inspired you to become an athlete, you’re responsible for showing up at the starting line fully prepared for the challenge ahead of you. Safety in the sport is not just the responsibility of the National Governing Body, sanctioned events and race directors, who are subject to the scrutiny of USATF sanctioning process and expected to uphold the best safety protocols. It's also the responsibility of the athlete.
