About Roseburg Optimist 5 K RUN/WALK
What is a Zombie 5k Run?
Runners will endure a 5 K run/walk through a zombie-infested course. Test your speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid
ravenous zombies! Runners will wear a flag (provided) on one side of their waist (like flag football). These flags represent zombie health. Zombies will try to steal those flags throughout the course.
5 K Zombie Run was founded to celebrate happiness, healthiness, and friendship! Our mission is not about mile markers, but about
memories made.
We hope our 5K run will be an inspiration for healthy living. Those wishing for a run time must submit their phone numbers.
The runner’s time will be provided through this method.
What makes the 5 K the Zombie Run special?
This 5 K Zombie Run is a fundraising event for the Roseburg Optimist Club. 100% of the proceeds go to the Roseburg Optimist Club to support children’s events in Douglas County. Your participation in the 5 K Zombie Run makes a difference!
All participants will receive a FREE 5 K Zombie Run T-shirt. A commemorative finisher medallion, a race bib, a flag, and snacks at the finish of the race will be provided by Thrive Umpqua. Commemorative medallions will be awarded to healthy racers and infected racers. Infected racers are those who lost their flag to a zombie during the race.
Race information:
The Zombie Run will take place on Saturday, October 17th, at Stewart Park. The check-in time is 8:00 am, with the race starting at 9:00 am.
