About RRRC Pony Pasture 5K, in memory of Peter Still
Richmond Road Runners Club dedicates this annual 5K race to the memory of Dr. Peter Still. Peter was a scholar, gentleman, runner, and a friend to many. The proceeds of this race benefit the Richmond Road Runners Club Scholarship Fund. Each year the club has awarded $3,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The scholarships are awarded to individuals who have and will represent the beneficial aspects of running as a healthy lifestyle. The recipients of the 2025 scholarships will be announced at the conclusion of the Pony Pasture 5K.
Richmond Road Runners Club
Richmond Road Runners Club's mission is to support running and healthy lifestyles in the Richmond Region. We do this by sponsoring races in our area, helping other organizations put on races, coaching training teams, supporting kids' running programs, supporting a variety of group runs and awarding academic scholarships to college-bound runner athletes.
RRRC is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that sponsors nearly 20 races each year with distances ranging from 3 miles to half marathon. Club members are runners or those looking to become runners, who are of all paces, ages and shapes. With over 2,500 members, RRRC is one of the largest running clubs in the United States.

Youth pricing for all runners 6-12 years of age: $5 plus processing fee, during the entire registration period. Youth do not receive a race shirt, but you may purchase one as an add-on during registration.
Any discounts will be applied at check out.
Runners must be 6 years old or older to participate in the in-person 5K road race. Runners who are 6-9 years of age must be accompanied for the entire race by a parent or guardian, who is registered for and running the race.
Course & Course Rules
The race will be back at Pony Pasture this year!.
This is a cup-less water station event. Please bring a reusable cup or water bottle for the race. There will not be any disposable cups on the course. The water stations are touchless.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SAFETY. BE ALERT, WATCH FOR TRAFFIC & PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FELLOW RUNNERS, COURSE MARSHALS, AND POLICE.
This is a road race conducted under the rules of USATF and RRCA. In consideration of the safety of all participants, the following are not allowed on the course during the race: animals, skateboards, inline or roller skates, and bicycles. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, RRRC encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the Pony Pasture 5K.
A runner may push a child in a running/jogging stroller during the Pony Pasture 5K. You must start the race at the back of the starting corral and must yield to runners during the race.
Parking
Parking is limited at Pony Pasture. If parking is not available, please park at the Stratford Hills Shopping Center and walk down to Pony Pasture. Please keep in mind that this walk is about 1 mile, so plan ahead to make sure you are at the start line at 7:30am. The race will not be held for late arrivals!
Race Shirts
Short sleeve race shirts are guaranteed to runners who register before Thursday, July 10th at 11:59 PM. We cannot guarantee the perfect fit or style of the race shirts, but we will make every effort to meet your selection request.
Runners who register after July 11 may be able to get an unclaimed race shirt after the race, while the supply of shirts lasts.
Awards & Prizes
There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top male and female masters finishers. Ribbons will be awarded to top three male and female finishers in each 5-year age group.
Race Packet/Bib Number Pick Up
Race packet (bib number and race shirt) pick up on Friday, July 25: Lucky Road (1601 Willow Lawn Drive Richmond, Virginia 23230) from 3-6pm.
Packet pick up on race morning at Pony Pasture begins at about 6:15 AM.
Please plan ahead to be at the check-in station no later than 7:00 AM. The race will start promptly at 7:30 AM.
