Join us for the 2nd annual Ruidoso Runfest where the weekend will include running, local bands, food trucks, and Downshift Brewing Company beer garden. This will be a family-friendly weekend hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation dept. 
Friday night kicks off the weekend with the Pizza Hut 5K and Kids 1K fun run. Finish line at Wingfield Park will host the awards for 5K along with music, post-race food, and a beer garden.

Saturday's events include the 6th running of the Ruidoso Marathon and Half Marathon, and in its 2nd year, the State-Forty-Seven Road 47K/50K presented by Bluebird Running. This is a 47K run for overall and age group awards. For those wanting to complete a true ultra 50K distance, we have an additional loop that needs to be completed by 2 pm. This is New Mexico's only premier road 50K.
Saturday will include a festival-like atmosphere with awards, post-race food, a band, a beer garden, food trucks, and bear carving.

Important Update: New Location for the RunFest Saturday Races 🏃‍♀️🏔️

As many of you have seen, recent flooding has affected parts of Ruidoso, New Mexico. However, please be aware that the Village of Ruidoso remains open, and local business owners greatly appreciate your support.

With cleanup underway, the city proposed a venue change, and thanks to the fast action taken last week by local officials and the Governor’s office, we’ve a new home for Saturday, the 19th!

(Please note that there are no schedule changes for Friday the 18th, the 5k and Packet Pick-up will still be at Wingfield Park in Ruidoso.)

Friday, July 18th from 2 pm to 6 pm 
Saturday, July 19th from 5 am to 6:45 am for the Marathon, Half marathon, and 47/50K
We can’t thank the people at Ft. Stanton, Parks and Recreation from the Village of Ruidoso, and the Governor’s office enough for stepping in so quickly to help make this possible. Because of their support, you still get to come out and do what you love — RUN!

The race will now start and finish at beautiful and historic Fort Stanton, with gorgeous views of the Capitan Mountains all day long. This new course will offer a scenic, historic, and unforgettable experience — everything you'd expect from a Wanderlust race.

More details will be emailed out this week on course, parking, and schedules coming soon — but for now, just know that the race is ON!

We want to recognize and thank our men and women in uniform. If you have served in the U.S. military, please take advantage of our discount policy.

MILITARY DISCOUNT
As a thank you to our men and women in uniform we offer a 15 % discount on the Full and Half Marathon, and State Forty-Seven 47K / 50K. This offer is limited to anyone with a current, valid United States military ID or DD214 (or the new driver’s license with the “Veteran” designation). That can mean husbands, wives, and children under 21. While veterans are eligible for the discount, their immediate families are not.

Please note that if you are working for the DoD as an employee or contractor, unfortunately, you are not eligible for the discount. Only active-duty members of the US military and their families, as well as veterans, are eligible. Anyone using the military discount without a military ID or DD214, or new “Veteran” NM driver’s license, will not be able to pick up their bib, will forfeit all fees, and will be banned for life from our races.

You MUST show a valid military ID or a copy of your DD214 (or the new state-issued driver’s license, or other official state-issued ID, with the “Veteran” (designation) to pick up your bib. You must pick up your packet in person–someone else may not pick it up for you. To preserve the integrity of this discount, we will not release a military discounted bib without the proper ID.

REFUNDS DUE TO ORDERS
If any active duty service member registers and subsequently receives orders that prevent them from attending the race, we will refund your registration fees 100%, including race extras and processing fees. (Proof of deployment required) Registrations that use the military discount cannot be transferred or sold, but are subject to our normal refund and deferment policy for reasons other than deployment.
