About Run For All Children

The 13th Annual Run for All Children is a family-friendly race supporting the patients and families at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Participants will start in front of the hospital and make their way through a scenic, chip-timed 5K or 1-mile course along the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront, finishing back on campus for a lively Finish Line Fest. A kids’ dash will take place near the finish line, creating a fun and memorable experience for all ages.

Since its founding in 2014 by Brian Powers, inspired by his family’s experience in a neonatal intensive care unit, this event has brought together a passionate community committed to making a difference for children.

Every step taken supports the areas of greatest need, helping ensure kids receive the care they deserve when it matters most.

Why We Fundraise

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Foundation was created in 1985 to steward charitable donations directly to the patients we serve and the greatest needs of the hospital. Support from donors allows us to enhance treatments and stay on the cutting edge of medical advancements, changing the future of pediatric medicine for kids in Florida and beyond, and train future physician leaders.

Philanthropy helps us to:

  • Equip the hospital and our outpatient care centers with technology to provide the least invasive treatment possible to children.
  • Increase capacity of our unique biorepository specimen storage and database—a  tool that helps researchers discover better treatments and cures.
  • Participate in hundreds of research studies to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of children’s diseases.
  • Help patients and their families cope with illness, injury, treatment and hospitalization through Child Life programs that use developmental, educational and therapeutic interventions and play.
  • Educate the next generation of pediatric physicians through Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital pediatric residency, fellowship and continuing education programs.

These are just some of the ways supporters like you are having a lasting impact on children’s health. We invite you to join us on our journey to shape the future of pediatric medicine and create healthy tomorrows … for one child, for all children.
