Come out to the 20th Annual Run for the Son 5K, Tot Trot and FUN RUN.
If you sign up 3 or more people during registration, each registrant will receive a $2 discount!
Race Day Schedule
7AM - Race Day Registration and packet pickup begins
8:15AM - 5K and Fun Run start
9:20AM - Tot Trot starts
9:30 - Award Ceremony
Course
This is a double loop course around the mountain town of Ellijay, GA
The race starts and finishes at the Scout Hut near Ellijay Elementary School
Awards
Awards given to:
Overall Male and Female
Overall Masters Male and Female
3 deep in 5 year age groups beginning with 10 and under up to 75 and over
There is also 2 Team Awards:
- Cup of Legends - Awarded to the largest registered team
- Cup of Champions - Awarded to the team with the most time submissions
The winning teams will get to proudly display their trophies in their office, break room, or church for an entire year!
Shirts and Goodies
Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 4/24/26. Those who register after that date and on race day will receive shirts while supplies last.
There will be plenty of refreshments.
Timing and Results
The race will be accurately timed by BT Race Timing. This race WILL NOT be chip timed. Please fill out the finish card, handed to you as you finish. Put your name, age, bib number and gender on the card, no need to put your time. Please turn in your card at the results boards for it to be posted. Failure to turn in your card will prohibit you from receiving an award on race day. Complete results will be posted to RunSignUp.com, BTRaceTiming.com, Athlinks.com and RunGeorgia.com after the race
Virtual and At Home Runners
You may sign up to run the 5K virtually. You can run or walk any where at anytime. Deadline to submit the time is Friday, May 1st by noon.
To submit your virtual time, click on the results tab at the top of the page. On the results page, you will see a tab at the top to submit your virtual time.
Virtual participants will receive a shirt but will not be eligible for awards.
Sign up as a virtual participant If you just want a shirt and don't want to run or walk. You aren't required to submit a time.
Parking
There will be plenty of free parking at Ellijay Elementry School (Across from the Scout Hut).
Other Information and Refunds
In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds for any reason.
