Run the Vineyards - Sheldrake Point Winery 5K

Run for wine at the beautiful Sheldrake Point Winery, overlooking Cayuga Lake!

The Run:

• Chip Timed 5K with live-streamed results. Race starts at 9:00 AM. 

• 5K course includes breathtaking views of Cayuga Lake. 

• Awards for the Top 3 Overall and Age Group Winners (Male/Female) Ages under 14, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 yrs.

• Well Marked cross country style course through the 200 acre vineyard property.  Nice wide trails with a combination of short cut grass and packed dirt. 

• Water station on course. Water and bananas at finish.

• Walkers and children welcome to participate. Registration required to be on course for safety of all participants. 1 Hour 10 minute Time Limit.

The Amenities:

• Custom High-quality Tech Shirt while supplies lasts. After 6/25, shirts will be available while supplies lasts after the race.   

• "Run the Vineyards" souvenir Wine Glass for all participants at the Finish!

• Souvenir Finisher Medals available for $8 during registration or $10 on race day (while supplies last) 

The After Party:

• One complimentary glass of wine for all finishers (Age 21+) 

• Wine will be available for participants and spectators for purchase

• Live Music from 9:45am-Noon by the Surf-Renegades.

• On-site food truck is My Eva Authentic Mexican Food.

• Indoor and outdoor seating available to relax and enjoy the morning. May bring blankets and chairs as well if you choose. Bring additional water for pre-race hydration. 

• Race is Rain or Shine. No refunds or deferrals.

Packet Pick-Up on Race day: 7:30 - 8:30 AM at "Good Day for a Run" tent. Arrive before 8:30 AM to pick up race bib and shirt, listen to race announcements. Race Starts at 9:00 AM. Late starts not allowed due to the design of course.

Following are the Race Day Details for this year's race at Sheldrake Point Winery.

• Race Date - June 28th at 9am
• Check-In - Race Day Only between 7:30-8:30am
• Parking - On-site and no charge
  • Please park tight as directed and carpool when possible.
• Course Description - This is a scenic cross-country style course around the perimeter of the vineyard property.  It is a mixture of short cut grass and packed dirt trails. 
• Course Map - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3089766 Subject to minor Change. Will be finalized on June 26th upon race weekend site visit.
• Awards - Top 3 Overall and Age Group Winners (Under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc.) win an award medal. 
• Results - All results are live and can be found on site using a QR code or by visiting the Results Page on this site. 
• Post Race Celebration - 
  • Wine - A complimentary glass of wine will be provided in your souvenir wineglass upon completing the race.
  • Live Music - Enjoy the sound of local band Surf Renegades between 9:45am-Noon. INFO
  • Food Truck - My Eva Authentic Mexican Cuisine will be on-site for post race food option until Noon. INFO
  • Awards Presentation - Awards will be presented at the Band Stage at approximately 10:15am. 
• Race is Rain or Shine
• Dog Policy - Leashed and well behaved dogs are allowed on property and on course. Outdoors only.
• Strollers are permitted - But please note that stroller should be suitable for cross-country style course.
• No refunds or transfers
