San Antonio New Years Eve 5k

We are looking forward to celebrating a new years eve with all of our running family!!! We are taking this event back to have some amazing fun on a very fast course. 
we will be doing some great give aways and competitions for both runners and teams.

First 100 adult runners will receive a 1/4 zip jacket upgrade all others will receive a long sleeve shirt. This will be a timed event and also all runners will receive our amazing New Years clock medal. 

Packet pick up will be at the race location on Race day only. It will begin at 4:30 and finish at 6pm on the 31st of December. You will park in the main pearsall park parking lot and jog or walk to warm up to the finish line.

Packet Pick up Information
This year we will be doing only one packet pick up and its going to be on race day. We feel that there is no reason to have you show up twice to the park when we have such an efficient way for you to collect your bibs and be ready for race day. Each package will include the following items.

Race Bib:  Used by timer for them to clock your finishing time, will have the chip on it

Race Apparel: Depending on when you signed up or if you upgraded to the 1/4 zip jacket it will be in your package

Race Headlamp: If you added a head lamp which is mandatory for this event, we will have it your package for you. Headlamps will be available for purchase on race day.

RACE START & FINISH
In order for us to make the race as flat and fast as we possible could the Race will be held at the Pearsall park trail head. There will not be any parking at the trail head or restrooms. The closest parking and restrooms will be a short walk  which can be used as a great warm up to the start. Below is a map and directions on google that you can put on your phone to follow. There will also be signs leading you to the race start and finish.

Race Day Awards!
We will be having Age group awards for ages in the following categories. 
12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69 , 70 Plus in both male and female as well your Top Overalls and Top Masters who will be getting a free entry to our 2025 Winter Dragon 5k or if they are already registered there are other Edragon events available for them.

Head Lamps
Since this is a night race with very limited visibility all runner/walkers will be required to wear a headlamp during the event for safety. If you do not have one you still have a chance to purchase one from us here at this link till the event tomorrow and it will be included in your packet.
We will also have some available at packet pick up for you to purchase.
 
Other important race items:
1. STROLLERS
     If you plan to run on the course with a stroller it must lit well enough to see for the safety of all the runners and must start in the back of all the participants.  
2. STAY TO THE RIGHT
    This course is an out and back course and we will be having runners approach at a very fast pace please stay to your right to avoid any collisions during the event. We really do not want anyone getting hurt. 
3. Park Closing at 11PM
   The city gave us a great chance to get the party started at pearsall park but unfortunately we cannot celebrate the whole night there since the park closes at 11pm and we do not want anyone getting their car locked in the parking lot.
