About San Fernando Valley Mile
The City of San Fernando invites you to lace up your shoes and run or walk your best mile! Set in the vibrant heart of San Fernando, this one-mile race is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. The course starts at 8th Street and Maclay Avenue, taking you down the iconic Maclay Avenue and finishing just before 3rd Street. Whether you're racing for speed or strolling for fun, this is your chance to experience the energy and charm of San Fernando in a whole new way!
Bib Pick Up
Skip the Lines on Race Day!
Save time and avoid the early-morning rush by picking up your bib and shirt ahead of time at one of our convenient bib pick-up days.
📍 Location: Recreation Park, 208 Park Ave., San Fernando, CA 91340
📅 Dates: Thursday, February 26, and Friday, February 27
⏰ Times: 5-8pm
If you're unable to attend in advance, race day pick-up will be available starting at 6:30 AM on Saturday, February 28 adjacent to the start line on 8th street. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled race time to ensure a smooth experience.

Refund Policy
- Producing these events involves significant upfront costs, including expenses for bibs, shirts, food, permits, insurance, rentals, and more. Unfortunately, these costs are non-refundable, which means we are unable to offer refunds.
- We highly recommend purchasing travel or race insurance in case you are unable to attend. During registration, you can add race insurance for a small additional fee.
Deferral Policy
- If you’re unable to participate in the event, you have the option to defer your race registration for a $5 fee. Deferrals must be made no later than one month prior to the event (2/1/25).
Shuttle
Shuttle pick-up will transport participants from San Fernando Court A Parking (801 3rd St, San Fernando, CA 91340) and will tentatively operate from 6:00am-9:30am. Final details will be posted here when available.

Everyone who registers and completes the course will receive a finisher medal & a race t-shirt!

7:30 am Elite Run (Heat 1)
For runners who can complete a mile in under 6 minutes
7:45 am Open Sub Elite Perfect Mile Run (Heat 2)
For runners who can complete a mile in under 8 minutes
8:00 am Youth Mile Championship (Ages 17 & Under)
A fun, timed but non-competitive event for youth
8:20 am Open Perfect Mile Run (Heat 3)
For runners who can complete a mile in under 12 minutes
9:00 am Family Walk/Run for Inclusion
A fun, timed but non-competitive event for the whole family
9:30 am Quarter Mile (Ages 8 & Under) Starts at the corner of 5th & Maclay. Participants check in there.
Parents can run or walk with their children if they start in the back of the pack
9:45 am 100 Meter Dash (Ages 4 & Under) Starts at 423 Maclay. Participants check in there.

Get ready for the San Fernando Valley Mile with FREE training sessions provided by 3 WINS Fitness! This program is designed to help you get stronger, more mobile, and more flexible to help you walk or run the mile faster. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or just want to improve, the training program is progressive and will lead to small improvements each week. Join as often as you can/like, you can drop in and join the group at any time.
