2026 Event Entry Opens Spring 2026
FISH Of SanCap, Sanibel and Captiva islands only wrap–around social service agency provider, is pleased to welcome you for our annual JOG N JAM, a community race and music concert fundraising event. The JOG (race) is scheduled for Sat., Nov. 7 and the JAM (concert) is scheduled for Sat., Dec. 5.
FISH of SanCap is focused on 'neighbors helping neighbors' with a vision to create communities where all people have the support they need to thrive. Our mission is to enrich the lives of all people in Sanibel and Captiva islands by neighbors helping neighbors with social services, education, and assistance.
The races on Nov. 7 will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle and a kids’ run will follow at the Sanibel Community Park. Both the 10K and the 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the awards ceremony following. We anticipate the kids’ fun run to start shortly after the awards. Each runner receives a finishers medallion and a T-shirt. Other awards include top female/male overall, 1st place female/male and age group, three deep, and these awards are given to in-person participants only and cannot be shipped. 5K & 10K Team Competition & Awards
Team Entry Information
- Persons must sign up to be on a team during the entry process
- Team signup ends Friday November 6, at 6 pm- After that time there is no further team signup or additions
- We suggest that team captains have at least 6 team members on their roster although just 5 team members will be scored
- If you have already signed up and now wish to be on or create a team then contact our timer and registrar - Mark at Lin-Mark Sports - include your name and the team that you now want to join or create.
Our timer – Lin-Mark Sports – will score the teams as follows:
- Top 5 finishers per team will be scored based on their chip time.
- A team can have unlimited members but only the first five finishers are scored.
- Their top 5 finishing chip times will then be added together to produce a total team time
- The team with the fastest total chip time will be declared the winner.
- Should the total time end up as tie between two or more teams then the best 6th place team finisher will determine the winner.
- There will be one team award per race.
- Persons who placed in the team scoring are also eligible to win an overall or age group award.

Entry Fees:
- Registration for in-person 10K/5K $45 until 9/5/2026
- Registration for in-person 10K/5K $50 until 11/6/2026
- Registration for in-person 10K/5K $55 day of the race
- Registration for virtual 10K/5K $55 | T-shirts (register by Sept. 26, 5:00pm for guaranteed shirt size) and finisher medals will be mailed to the address provided by the participant a few days after the race event
- Special Promotional rate for ages 16 and under of $35.00 for in-person 10K/5K until October 31
- Registration for Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under - Fun Run is free, however all participants must register
Both races will accept walkers! Please note, no pets allowed - only service animals.

Q: Can I walk the race?
A: Yes, both the 10K and the 5K support walkers
Q: Can I bring my pet to the race and/or concert?
A: Only service animals are allowed to participate in our event. Pets are not permitted
Q: Do I need a ticket for the concert?
A: Your purchase receipt is your ticket. No tickets will be emailed or mailed. If you cannot find your receipt, we'll have you on our list! Or, email maggiegoldsmith@fishofsancap.org for a copy of your receipt. You will receive a wristband upon entry.

A: After crossing the finish line, stay and congratulate your favorite runners at our awards ceremony, then cheer our 'little runners' on at our Kids' Fun Run, immediately following the awards presentation. Keep the celebration going with a full day of island adventures on Sanibel and Captiva! Then come back often and enjoy even more with our digital goodie bag—packed with coupons, special offers, and discounts from island businesses. Q: What band is playing at the concert?
A: This year we are thrilled to welcome local artists, The Ben Allen Band, on Dec. 6th at 'Tween Waters, Captiva! Known as a dynamic country act in Southwest Florida, they are celebrated for their energetic performances and blend of country dance songs and heartfelt country truth, making them a popular choice for events. Ben Allen was a contestant on The Voice, where he was coached by Blake Shelton and later switched to Gwen Stefani's team.
Q: Where do I purchase concert tickets?

Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks to the concert?
A: Food, drinks and alcohol will be available for purchase. No outside alcohol and/or food will be permitted on the premises.
Q: What about parking at the concert?
A: Limited parking is available onsite at 'Tween Waters. Overflow parking: Castaways Beach & Bay Cottages (6460 Sanibel Captiva Road). A Shuttle Service will be provided. Dolphin Transportation will provide shuttle vans from the overflow lot to 'Tween Waters from 5:00-9:00pm. Carpooling or Taxi Services are strongly encouraged to ease traffic and parking.
Q: What is the concert set-up?
A: Comfort: Bring beach chairs or blankets to relax in style.
Rules: Outside alcohol, beverages, or food are not permitted.
Reminder, your concert receipt is your ticket. No physical tickets are provided. If you cannot locate your receipt, no worries - we will have you on our list!
Q: Do you have hotel partners for the concert?
A. Yes, Call ‘Tween at 800-223-5865 and mention the FISH JOG N JAM event to book a room. Please book by October 6 to take advantage of the room block. Requires a two-night stay.

Timing:
The 10K/5K will be timed by our Cape Coral neighbors - Lin-Mark Sports - using the Chronotrack Timing System. Entrants will be able to sign up for results by text during the entry process and Lin-Mark will be posting Live Results all race morning.

The above awards will be given to in-person runners only! FISH cannot mail awards to participants.
Shirts | Performance t-shirt for all participants (male & female cuts). Participants are guaranteed their race shirt size if registration is before or on September 26, 2026 at 5:00pm. Please note: The women’s V-neck shirt runs small (same brand used in 2024) — we recommend sizing up 1–2 sizes for the most comfortable fit. The crew neck is a unisex style and fits true to size for a standard, relaxed fit.
