About Savannah Camellia Trail Community Run & Walk
Savannah’s only community run + art + food festival celebrating a youth-led public planting project along the Truman Linear Trail, with camellias in peak bloom.
The Savannah Camellia Festival & Community Run invites runners, walkers, families, and neighbors to enjoy thousands of youth-planted camellias along the Truman Linear Trail, followed by a free, open-door festival at Cohen’s Retreat with food, art, kids activities, and short demonstrations. The event includes a 5K run and a 1–2 mile community walk.

Parking
Free parking will be available near the event site, with clear signage and volunteers to help guide you on arrival.
Is this kid-friendly?
Yes! The festival and community run are designed to be family-friendly, with activities and spaces welcoming for kids of all ages.
Strollers?
Strollers are welcome on the route and throughout the festival. We just ask that participants remain aware and courteous along shared trail sections.
Dogs?
Leashed dogs are welcome at the festival and on the trail. Please be mindful of other participants and clean up after your pup.
Do I have to run?
Not at all. This is a community run and walk—move at your own pace, whether that’s running, walking, or stopping to enjoy the scenery.
Timing & competitiveness
This event is intentionally non-competitive. There’s no pressure to race the clock—it’s about participation, connection, and enjoying the trail.
Bathrooms
There will be one portable restroom located midway along the trail near the turnaround point, as well as restrooms available at Cohen’s Retreat at the start and finish of the race.
What if I just want the festival?
That’s perfect too. The festival is free and open to the public—no race registration required.
