Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, CT/ Michelle's House Walk. Run. Bike.

Participants may walk, run, or bike on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, at Edgewood Park! The course is a nicely shaded route, perfect for September!  We encourage you to wear your t-shirt while you walk, run, or bike and share your photos on social media! 

Walk & Run Ticket Price

• 1-12 yrs: FREE (registration is required.)
• 13-18 yrs: $12
• 19 yrs-older: $25

Bike Ticket Price 

• Must be 19 yrs. or older to participate.
• 19 yrs-older: $25

Fundraisers Champions

We’re looking for fundraising champions to support our cause. By fundraising within your network of family, friends and colleagues, you’ll help us sustain the critical programs we provide to SCD families statewide. 

There are two ways to become a fundraiser:

Bike Route Directions

1. Start from the parking area at Whalley Ave & West Rock Ave.

2. Ride south through Edgewood Park, following the paved park road along the West River. This section is quiet, tree-lined, and one of New Haven’s prettiest urban green spaces. 

3. Exit the park at the corner of ET Grasso Blvd and Chapel Street. 

4. Continue down Chapel street to Yale Avenue.

5. Continue south on Yale Avenue toward Derby Avenue.

6. Turn right onto Derby Avenue.

7. Continue to the Yale Bowl, then ride the perimeter roads around the stadium and adjacent athletic fields for excellent views of the historic stadium and open green spaces.

8. Continue north on Central Avenue.

9. Turn right on Fountain Street.

10. Turn right onto West Rock Avenue.

11. Follow West Rock Avenue north back to Whalley Avenue and Re-enter Edgewood Park and finish where you started.
