About Sidewinder Preview Run
Join us on Sunday, July 12 at 9 am for a free preview of the Sidewinder 9 mile loop!
The run will leave promptly at 9 am from the Montour Woods pavilion - so we recommend you arrive around 8:30 am.
Parking for the run will be at the Montour Trail - Hassam Road Parking Lot. You will then walk into Montour Woods via the wooden bridge, and leave from the pavilion on the other side of the bridge. It is about a quarter mile walk in.
You DO NOT have to be registered for Sidewinder or plan to participate in Sidewinder to enjoy this preview run. Please be sure to register for the preview run if you plan to attend so we know how many participants to expect.
Update: Due to high demand, there will be two pace groups!
Party Pace: This group will run at a "Party Pace" (~15:00 min miles), meaning the run guide will wait for all participants at each intersection. Important locations will be pointed out during the run, including aid station locations, tricky navigation areas, and the connection to the start/finish area.
Launch Pace: This group will run at ~11-12 min miles and may not pause as often as the party pace
Minimal aid & supplies will be provided, please bring your own hydration and nutrition.
We will be joined by Hollow Oak, Public Lands, and North Park Trail Runners!
